Returns and exchange details
In order to ensure customer satisfaction, our bands are created specifically to fit the wrist size ordered and are packaged/shipped with care. Due to the nature of items created specifically for each customer, we've created the below policies.

1. INCORRECT WRIST MEASUREMENTS - (Three options) As noted in our listings, providing a precise wrist measurement is paramount to the fit of your custom-created band. We do this in three ways: each listing is written with care to emphasize the importance of ordering a band for the correct wrist size, measuring tips are also explained on each listing, and a picture is placed on each listing to remind our beloved customers not to estimate wrist size. If the size of the band needs to be adjusted, we will be happy to do so according to our Custom Band Restringing/Resizing Policy or Return Policy. There are three options we have to offer you:

A. CUSTOM BAND RESTRINGING/RESIZING (Elastic/Stretch Bands - Refer to #4): It is the buyer's responsibility to pay for shipping to and from TimeKitsUSA to restring/resize customized bands that were ordered incorrectly (wrong size). This fee was established to cover material and time costs. Restringing involves a complete deconstruction and recreation of the band, most often with the addition of new material, to achieve the correct size.

There is a $20 fee to restring the band. Total price for TimeKitsUSA to restring: $27.00.

B. As an additional option, if you'd like to order another band from us at the time when your resizing request is made, we would like to offer to waive the $27 fee to remake your original band. (Elastic/stretch bands - Refer to #4) Please simply place an order for a new item, confirm with us that you'd like this option, and mail your original band back to us (insured). **You must message us to let us know you are requesting the original band to be recreated so it can be shipped together with the new order!** After we receive your package/original band, we will recreate it to your requested size and include your new order in the same package to be mailed back to you. (Please include a note in your package reminding us that you've made a new purchase and let us know what wrist size you'd like your original band to be remade to fit.)

C. Option three is to return the new-condition band per our return policy.***

(Exchanges or Resizing only for Elastic/Stretch Bands - Refer to #4)

To avoid postal mishaps, please be sure to purchase insurance when items are sent back to us. TimeKitsUSA is not responsible for lost or damaged items/packages.

***We've found that most customers, with very few exceptions, who order a size 5" or 8"+ band do so accidentally. When an order is placed for these sizes, we will reach out to our customer to confirm your wrist size. Our customer's happiness is our ultimate goal! If we do not hear a response within 2 days, we will ship the item as ordered. We trust that orders have been ultimately placed correctly or that a response will be given to our further communication. Thank you. ***Orders placed for wrist sizes 5" or 8"+ cannot be refunded, but can be adjusted per the Custom Band Restringing policy below.

2. EXCHANGES (Exchanges or Resizing only for Elastic/Stretch Bands - Refer to #4) can be made for a product of equal or lesser value for the *same size band only* when the original band is returned in new condition to us. Please know that an exchange means that our small business is custom creating another completely new band for you. This takes time and has associate product costs. Please send your new condition band back to us (no scratches or nicks, in tact as arrived to you, no broken pieces, discoloration, etc.) in an insured package. Priority mail is automatically insured. First class packages need insurance purchased. Please allow 3-5 business days for your new band to be created and shipped back to you. We will be happy to ship your band back to you free of cost via first class mail in a padded envelope (US customers only). Thank you.

3. RETURNS - Bands* and covers may be returned or exchanged within ONE WEEK if the items are still in brand new condition (no show of wear at all, no micro-scratches, etc.). Our one week policy is a firm rule since we've unfortunately experienced customers waiting an extended period of time before returning their order. Return shipping costs are to be paid for by the customer. To avoid postal mishaps, we recommend purchasing insurance if you're shipping first class mail; priority mail is automatically ensured. If a package gets lost or damaged before reaching us, we cannot offer a refund. For band returns, a $25 per band return fee will be deducted from the price of the band.* Shipping is nonrefundable. For covers, a $7 per cover return fee will be deducted from the total price. For returns on orders where multiple bands have been sent for one order (a replacement band has been sent and both bands have been returned), a $25 fee + additional shipping costs will be deducted from the original band price and a refund will be placed as soon as the second band is returned.

*Elastic/Stretch bands are non-returnable, but can be exchanged. Please see #4.

WHY THE RETURN FEE FOR BANDS? TimeKitsUSA bands are created specifically for each customer per the wrist size indicated on the order. Each listing is written with care to emphasize the importance of ordering a band for the correct wrist size, measuring tips are also explained on each listing, and a picture is placed on each listing to remind our beloved customers not to estimate wrist size. We also share if a band may interfere with apps, options for different clasps, and other varieties/variations of bands so our beloved customers can make informed decisions that are individually-based. Because of this, we have a $25 return fee in place to help cover 1) associated costs with the time it takes to hand-create each item, 2) product/material expenses, 3) communication card/care costs, 4) preparing packages for shipping, 5) sending packages with free shipping, 6) Etsy fees, 7)federal/state taxes, 8) employee wages, 9) as well as accounting for time spent communicating with our beloved customers who may like to return their item(s). You may be able to see that $25 only covers some of our expenses while creating, sending, and communicating about a custom-made band individually made for one person. Our small, handmade business generates much less profit than a big company who can substantiate larger financial losses on returns. (Side note: we love our small business and it's a pleasure to create bands for you!)

WHY THE RETURN FEE FOR COVERS? The $7 return fee for covers, in part, accounts for our time for production of the product, packaging/sending the product, having the product not be available for sale for at least a couple of weeks (i.e., creating new stock believing this item has been sold already), and communicating with our beloved customer about the return. This fee helps account for everything we do as a small business to create, sell, and accept a returned cover.

Should any item be returned in less than new condition, photo-documentation will be established and a refund will not be given. Less than new condition means any mark, scratch, micro-small or bigger, discoloration, bends, broken pieces, etc... any deviation from how the band was sent in new condition. It will be the customer's responsibility to pay for shipping the original item back to them. Please do not return a band in less than new condition, as a refund cannot be offered. Please know that customer satisfaction is *extremely* important to us and we hope never to encounter this issue!

*ALL CUSTOM-REQUESTED SALES ARE FINAL, including bands for wrist sizes 5" and 8"+. That said, we are happy to recreate your band if it was ordered in the wrong size. (Refer to INCORRECT WRIST MEASUREMENTS.) Sales are final because each band is created specifically for you in your size.


4. Elastic/Stretch and Hair Tie Bands - Resize or wrong color elastic and/or adapters:

We do not accept returns for elastic bands. If the wrong color elastic and/or adapters or wrong size is accidentally ordered, it would be our pleasure to remake your band. "Resizing" or exchanging for a different colored band/adapters means making a completely new band for you. Please notify our shop within 2 days of receipt and ship the band back to us within one week.

1) If you would like to order another band from us (any band), please return your elastic band to us (insured, please - we are not responsible for lost/damaged mail) and we will remake/resize your band for free. Both bands will ship together in the same package.

2) Due to material and time costs, we charge $10, plus shipping to remake (resize) and return the band to you. "Resizing" your band means that we have to create a new band with new material. Please know that we do not profit at all from the requested amount, in fact, we take a small loss. Please contact us within 3 days of receiving your band, order the listing to resize stretch/elastic bands, and send your band (insured) to us within one week:

$10.00 resizing/new color fee (time and material) + Your choice of shipping - First Class insured ($4.50) or Priority 2-3 day mail ($7.00)

Returned bands will be held for 30 days. Customer must notify us, via Etsy, of their choice in how to move forward with resizing/recreating the band - option 1 or 2, please. After 30 days, if no action has been taken, the sale is final and the band becomes the property of TimeKitsUSA.

5. ITEM ARRIVED DAMAGED

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within two days of the day the post office states the package is received. Include 1) a clear, close up picture of the damaged area and 2) a picture of the damaged item with the whole package box/envelope showing the shipping label. Thank you.

6. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Items are shipped via USPS First Class International Mail. Import duties, taxes and like charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs. Should they occur, these charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to ordering. Thank you.

Should a package return that was shipped internationally to the address provided by our customer, one of two options may occur per our customer's choice:
1. The package can be reshipped, paid by the customer.
2. A refund can be processed per our return policy. We do not offer refunds on elastic bands, but a second band can be purchased and we will ship both bands together.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Please check your country's customs and other related international shipping fees. Return shipping, custom, assessor or miscellaneous fees are the customer's responsibility (no refunds). Fortunately, very few of our customers have had these fees accessed.

INTERNATIONAL BAND EXCHANGES: We are so sorry to say that if a band needs to be exchanged for another, payment of shipping the band is the customer's responsibility both ways.

7. BAND CARE

DOES THE METAL CHANGE COLOR? We carry silver, gold, and rose gold plated items. There are several factors that may contribute to a change in color with plated metal items (body acidity, perspiration, wear, etc.). Color changes are not covered under our return or exchange policy.

Metals react differently with different body pH levels. If you think that there is a chance that the metal may change on your TimeKitsUSA custom band, or if you start to notice a slight change in the metal color, please use 2-3 coats of clear nail polish to cover the areas that regularly come in contact with your skin or other objects. The oxidation process will stop when protected! We encourage you to reapply the clear polish regularly, as these layers may rub off with normal wear.

*We are not responsible for allergic reactions or medical reactions. Please contact us prior to purchase if there are questions about material used. Returns can be issued if there is a return policy for your band.

*Due to varying circumstances, we are not responsible for damage or loss of an Apple Watch.

CUSTOM-SIZED SPECIALTY BANDS

Please take care to properly measure your wrist and provide a precise wrist size when ordering. We will create your band to these measurements for a fabulous fit! If your wrist size falls between 1/2 inch increments, please feel free to note the correct size during check out! If a band is ordered in the incorrect size, even slightly bigger or smaller, the weight of the Apple timepiece can put undo stress on the components and may cause the band or components to break, as well as limit the function of certain apps. For this reason, we take extreme measure in each listing to emphasize this important fact. Your happiness matters to us!

DOES THE METAL CHANGE COLOR?

Where noted, we carry silver, gold, and rose gold plated items. There are several factors that may contribute to a change in color with plated metal items (body acidity, perspiration, wear, etc.). Color changes are not covered under our return or exchange policy.

BAND CARE:

Suede and Leather - Protect your suede and leather pieces with fine suede and leather care products.

Swarovski crystals, beaded bracelet bands, and covers - Dull crystals, beads, and Apple Watch covers/cases can easily regain their sparkle by being polished gently with a soft, clean cloth.

Metal findings - Our silver, gild and rose gold plated findings come with a free protective coating. To protect and preserve the metal, we recommend occasionally placing a couple coats of clear nail polish on pieces that come in contact with your skin or are susceptible to oxidation. Once oxidation starts, it will continue unless protected with clear polish.

Again, metals react differently with different body pH levels and we have no way of knowing how metal will react to your skin, if at all. If you think that there is a chance that the metal may change on your TimeKitsUSA custom band, or if you start to notice a slight change in the metal color, please use 2-3 coats of clear nail polish to cover the areas that regularly come in contact with your skin or other objects. The oxidation process will stop when protected! We encourage you to reapply the clear polish regularly, as these layers may rub off with normal wear.

The better you care for your specialty band, the longer it will last. Avoid contact with water and all chemicals. Your watch should be the last piece of jewelry put on when getting ready. Different skin acidities may wear away the metal plating faster than others. Please store your clean, dry band in a sealable baggie with a piece of tissue to absorb moisture that may cause oxidation.
