Before starting Time Saving Templates, I worked in corporate HR/ Compensation, where I would calculate bonuses and salary increases, salary survey analysis, along with other compensation duties. When I quit my corporate job to stay at home with my 1st daughter, I thought it would be the perfect time to turn my hobby of jewelry making into a business. I thought it would be so easy to be a stay at home mom and run a home-based business (HA!). While selling my handmade jewelry, I created several excel templates to help organize all the demands of running a small business – inventory, sales and expenses tracking, pricing items and everything in between.

On a whim, I decided to list a couple templates I had been using, on my jewelry website. To my surprise, they sold fast and the feedback I received was amazing! Since then I've enjoyed adding new templates and helping people save time with worksheets for small businesses, rental property management and back to my original career - HR/Compensation. The templates business has taken over, and although I had to pause my jewelry shop to keep up, I'm happy that I get to play a small part in how other handmade business shops operate.
