Tinsel + Thrift
Behind the name of Tinsel + Thrift.
Tinsel is a name I started to use to describe my handmade clay wall hangings. There is just something about them that adds a little magic to your walls. Thrift stands for both curated items that will pop up on the shop and for a sustainable lifestyle which I live and advocate. I am an environmentally conscious artist who believes we all need a little Tinsel and Thrift in our lives.

Care instructions
Tinsel + Thrift wall hangings are not waterproof but can stand bathroom humidity. They are not meant as an outdoor decoration.
Customs and Duties
Tinsel + Thrift is not responsible for any customs, duties, or tax charges that may apply for buyers outside of Canada.
Local Pick Up
If you are in the Calgary area and would like to void shipping fees local pick up is available. Pick up location will be Inglewood. Please send me a message before you place your order and we can discuss arrangements.
Custom Orders
I accept custom orders. If you have an idea for a custom order please send me a message with the photo of the hanging you're inspired by. Please be aware that although I do my best I cannot recreate pieces perfectly to match previous ones. Due to the nature of my craft, each wall hanging is made in its own wonderful way.
Packaging + Shipping
I package each wall hanging with simple materials. When I first started I would add a lot of flair however in time I found this to be quite wasteful. Your wall hanging is shipped in a padded envelope with tissue and a business card.
With standard shipping, your parcel will be sent as regular mail. This is to keep shipping cost at a minimum. There will be no tracking number provided. You are notified when your order has been shipped.

Due to the nature of my small shop, I do not accept returns, all sales are final.

What are they made of?
Tinsel wall hangings are made with a high-quality natural self-hardening clay. They are not ceramic and not completely waterproof. They are indoor decorations for your home.
