Announcement   SPRING SALE! Use coupon code SpringSale2016 at checkout to received 25% all items through April 17th.

Welcome to tinyExpanse, a shop filled with tiny daily original paintings, prints, and larger works.

tinyExpanse paintings are a daily practice of meditation and contemplation through visual journaling. These works are a reminder that beauty is available everywhere, you just have to pay attention! Each oil painting is done on stretched canvas, and completed on-site in the Plein Air style of painting, which means “in the open air,” and thus represent a direct experience from that particular day. In a nod to simplicity and treading lightly, I work from a traveling studio in the form of a backpack. One of the sweetest things someone has said about tinyExpanse: "Her ability to capture the essence of an expansive landscape on such a small canvas is like a haiku in oil."

More of my (larger) work is available on my website: www.teannalach.com.

Enjoy!

About

tinyExpanse - Small reminders of nature's vastness.

Some people go for a walk everyday, others sit and meditate, for some it is a cup of coffee. Most of us have some routine in our daily lives that creates some small sense of stability and familiarity in this ever-changing life.

During a particularly transitional period in my life, I realized that I needed a daily practice that gave me this sense of continuity and routine. I wanted to make sure I both appreciated the beauty around me and painted every day. From these intentions tinyExpanse was born. Over the years I have created over 4000 daily landscapes - sometimes sticking to creating a painting each day, sometimes taking a break to recharge, but always coming back to these little works. Creating a painting each day, no matter how big or small, brings me happiness and contentment.

Thank you for visiting my Etsy store!

I enjoy painting as a daily practice that focuses my attention on what is beautiful in a world when so much pulls our attention towards what is ugly or what we need to fix. I hope you'll enjoy viewing the works on my site, and please feel free to contact me with any questions! To view more of my work, including larger paintings in oil, please view my website - www.teannalach.com
