Absolutely stunning bracelet and earrings! Photos did not do it justice. Artist used very high quality beads and put the design together with perfection. Very pleased. Fast shipping. A+++

About

No Matter What I Set My Mind or Hands on, the Outcome Is Tip Top; Thus the Name of My Store - TipTopTrinkets.

I approached my jewelry making like everybody else: creating simple earrings, necklaces, and bracelet using beads I regarded attractive, be it Swarovski’s crystals, gemstones, or pearls. My trinkets were in a variety of form; actually I did not have yet any individual method. Not until I weaved a cuff bracelet out of silver Miyuki cube seed beads with sparingly spread red square beads – which, by the way, sold the next day after posting – I developed my own distinctive brand. From then on, I weave my jewelry in array of weaving patterns and do not want to stop. Ideas overgrow me rapidly the more art pieces I generate.

I draw my inspiration by studying historical design styles, not necessarily that of jewelry but art and architecture as well. I am fascinated by short but wonderful period of Art Deco; I love ancient Egyptian forms, their simplicity and abstractedness, but I would not shy from naturalistic but full of bold curves, Baroque. I do not replicate the old pieces, rather I am motivated by their color, or shape, or overall ambiance. Chicago itself, the heart of design and architecture community in which I live, serves as my inspiration too.

I need not much of the space to create my tiny artworks, thus my studio fits in the corner of my living room and consists of a desk, a few shelves, and small storage cabinet.

My designs are simple yet stylish. They are timeless although fashion trends informed. Speaking of fashion; the trends tend to return over and over again. I am in possession of my mother’s jewelry of 50’s and 60’s, mostly Jablonex’s! Guess what? These pieces are very much in vogue now! You can see some of them here and on my blog.

A few words about me: I always have been a creative creature so first I started with architecture, followed by photography and teaching, until I end up here at TipTopTrinkets. It has been a long and tiresome journey getting into jewelry making, but – at least for time being - I seem to be a happiest of all! Architecture turned out to be not my cup of tea, but I have elated in photography. I still enjoy picture making. The trouble is – one cannot support oneself with it. I had even had some successes, for my artwork has been published and exhibited worldwide. Oh! One more thing: I love all kind of animals, but specifically dogs.
