I'm a very pragmatic person. That's why I studied design. Unfortunately, EVERYone thinks they are a designer and so dealing with what the client wants and convincing them to accept my designs has been an ongoing challenge. I also love the computer as a tool, but hate being tied to a desk all day long. I was getting jaded because I love to work with my hands and just 'make stuff.'

With Tiramisuzi, I make things that I would like to own. Maybe you'll like them too. The name Tiramisuzi is derived from a combination of my name (Suzi) and the famous Italian dessert. Tiramisu literally means 'pick me up' and that's what I'm hoping people will want to do when they see my work. My work can be unconventional and quirky and it's usually small enough to fit in your hands. I like to make things fun and interactive and maybe raise a few eyebrows.

I didn't really get serious about my brand until recently. My working situation has been difficult and I've been unable to find work so I asked myself, 'what CAN I do?' and so now I am working hard to get my stuff 'out there' to connect with other designer/makers and trying to make a living teaching and doing what I love.
