Creating something new everyday

I received my first sewing machine at the age of 6. As a child I spent many weekends with my grandmother who also had a passion for sewing. She owned a drapery shop and after graduating from high school I worked for her for a short time. In 1987 she retired and I took over the business. About 1996 I added custom quilting services for my customers. In 2006 I purchased a rug loom and enjoy weaving rugs for family and friends. In 2007 I started making the chenille rugs. These rugs are not made on the loom, but sewn on a sewing machine. To date (2016) I've made nearly 1900 rugs from recycled blue jeans.
