My sister purchased this beautiful piece for me for my birthday and it was my favorite gift. It's so delicate and detailed and makes me smile whenever I look at it. Thank you.
My happy place...
Thank you for taking the time to browse through my little shop of hand painted glass and china. There's just little old me doing all the painting (and the packing and the photography), but to be honest, that's just how I like it. That way, you and I can both be sure that everything was done with the utmost care and attention. I love what I do and I hope you will too.
I work from a studio at home that is crammed full of glass, boxes, bubble wrap, photography lights and a million and one other things that help me run my tiny empire. My working day (and often the night too) is quite solitary, but my mind gets to soar when I'm designing and painting and when it doesn't feel like soaring, there's always radio 4 in the background....
Ideas pop into my head all the time - far more than I have time to create, but I try to store them in my mind and pull them out when I get the time. Everything I've ever come up with was created because it made me happy. Sometimes that's because it will make me laugh, sometimes because I think it's pretty, or even a bit of both, but it always has to make me feel proud that I made it.
As well as painting on glass, I love to experiment with cocktail making. Each week I make and test cocktails from existing recipes and sometimes create my own. I photograph the results and post the recipes at
You might just find your new, favourite drink.....

Additional policies and FAQs
The colours on all Toasted Glass, hand painted glass and china are baked on at 160 degrees centigrade and are extremely durable. They will withstand frequent washing with hot water and detergent, but use of a dishwasher is not recommended as it may cause permanent clouding.
Instead, hand wash, using plenty of hot, soapy water, rinse well with clean water of the same temperature and dry immediately with a clean, lint free cloth to avoid watermarks.
If the interior of cups and teapots become stained with tea and coffee, pour a little bleach into the bottom of the china and fill to the top with water. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before tipping the solution, carefully away and rinse thoroughly in clean water.
Never wash your wine glasses on the same day you have been drinking from them. Bitter experience has proved that even a small amount of alcohol will impair washing capabilities and vastly increase the likelihood of breakages!
