Announcement   Dear Clients,

Folk Socks for All! We all come from somewhere, right? Many cultures have traditions knitting styles and patterns. As custom orders of other items permit, I will be knitting and stocking (pun intended) Folk Socks from around the world. European, Middle-Eastern, and Latin American patterns are available. Need Kilt Hose? There's a sock for that. Colorful patterns? Lace? There's a sock for that, too. If you Kneed Socks (groan), let me know what you want and toddKnitz will find just the thing and make it to your size and color specs.

SALE! SALE! SALE! (Send Convo to enquire) Buy an Aran sweater (at Regular Price) and receive a pair of matching Aran socks FREE!!!

Let's Dare to Compare!

I've been scouting out items similar to those made by toddKnitz. I looked at the biggest names in designer department stores. You know the ones--Needless Markup, The Big Purple Dinosaur's--just to not name a couple. I also looked at some of the most exclusive of British Isles designers. Even if you can afford to shop in places that don’t use price tags, I assume that you are still averse to throwing away money. The Duke of Windsor may be able to afford Pringle’s of Scotland, but I would venture to say that their hand-knitters are no better than toddKnitz. Better paid, yes, but, then again, the Royal Family owns its own railway system and a bunch of palaces. I have a 1000 square foot house and a modest English cottage garden, and I put up my own pickles and preserves to save money.

In my search, I could hardly find hand-knitted goods at all. When I did, they were far more expensive than the prices at toddKnitz.

By shopping at toddKnitz, you will get items of the highest quality, designed for YOU, and proudly made by my two hands in the USA, at a better price than you could dream to find in NYC or the British Isles. You may get a designer label at those stores, but at what cost for something made en masse in China or Pakistan? If you need a label, try one that says "toddKnitz, made in the USA."

If you want Shetland wool, we can do that. If you want the world’s best cashmere, we can do that, too. If you want highest-quality wools made only in the USA—yep, just ask. In short, if you are going to spend a bunch of money on a knitted item that will last a very long time, doesn’t it make more sense to spend the money on the materials than the label?

I sell my goods because I love to knit and to design, and, of course, I need a little extra income. So, please, do look about for hand-made, one-of-a-kind goods that compare to those at toddKnitz, and feel free to let me know if you find a better deal.

Down to Business:

All items for sale by toddKnitz are made-to-order (unless otherwise marked as ready to ship). Garment fit, colors, and patterns can be tailored to YOUR heart's desire. Please enquire now by etsy convo to toddKnitz, and we can discuss your particular needs. For most projects, I will need info on measurements and/or colors.

RETURNING CUSTOMER SPECIAL: If you've already bought at toddKnitz, order again and receive 20% off the cost of any Regularly Priced item.

NEW PRODUCT LINE: Enquire now about magnificent and delicate Estonian Lace knitted shawls and scarves. Made from patterns used by Estonian knitters for over a century, these creations are for the customer of truly discriminating taste. Prices and sample photos available upon request.

FAIR ISLE KNITTING!!!
Welcome to Fair Isle knits! These wonderful patterns have been hand-knitted by Scottish women for hundreds of years. For some items, you have the economical choice of partially machine-knitted garment creation. All Fair Isle stitch patterns will be done carefully by hand, and there are hundresds of possible patterns.

Have a different item or pattern in mind? Just let me know what you'd like, and we can design your one-of-a-kind custom creation.

If you would like to commission an item not shown in my store, please feel free to contact me. When the item is finished, I will post it at toddKnitz.etsy.com in order for the purchase to take place.

Payment
I accept payment via money order or PayPal. Complicated items can usually be shipped with eight weeks. A more accurate estimate of creation/delivery time will occur for each individual order. Many garments, such as Aran and Fair Isle garments, are very complex and take longer to knit than simpler patterns.

For items costing under $100, payment in advance. For items over $100, a non-refundable deposit will be due in advance to cover materials. Once the item is finished, payment of the balance will be due before shipment.

Once payment has been received and work begun on an order, no cancellation is possible on items costing less than $100. For items costing more than $100, the order may be cancelled with the understanding that deposits are non-refundable.

Garment measurements will be carefully checked during all stages of garment production.
Shipping
Shipping will be via USPS Priority. Package insurance may be requested by the customer or added as a courtesy by toddKnitz. Once an item is shipped, toddKnitz can assume no responsibility for postal mishap. A copy of the USPS receipt can be sent via email to the customer upon request.
Refunds and Exchanges
For completed items received by the customer:

For custom items, refunds are generally impossible. However, if there is a problem with your order, toddKnitz will attempt to correct the problem. For garments ordered with a standard size and resaleable color, refunds will be made less the cost of materials if the item is returned within 10 days. Return postage will be at the customer's expense. Please contact toddKnitz prior to returning any item to discuss returns.
Additional policies and FAQs
Small idiosyncracies may occur during the construction of hand-knit garments, often due to slight irregularities in materials. These are generally undetectable and can add individual character to the garment. If there is a serious defect in the construction of your garment, please notify toddKnitz within 10 days of receipt of your garment; every effort will be made to rectify the situation. All items are photographed prior to shipment for quality control and marketing purposes.
