Announcement   Thank you for stopping by! Most of the necklaces are around 20 to 22 inches in length. It's easier to shorten a necklace than to make it longer, but both can be done. Convo me if you want to lengthen or shorten a piece - charges may apply.

I like to make pieces that mix and match.

Thank you for visiting my shop – togglewire. I started making jewelry in 2004 as a way to deal with the stress from work. After a few open houses and selling to co-workers, I decided to expand my customer base through Etsy.

Most of the necklaces are around 20 to 22 inches in length. It's easier to shorten a necklace than to make it longer, but both can be done.

Togglewire is the name of my jewelry business. It’s simple – I prefer using toggle clasp and wire. The butterfly in the logo represents the meaning of my first name.

I am the designer of all the pieces you see in the shop. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. My style tends to be big and chunky. I like to create pieces that make a statement.

Shipping
Shipping is limited to orders being shipped within the United States. Your order will be shipped within two business days of receiving payment. All packages are sent via United States Postal Service First Class mail.

Please contact me if you have specific shipping needs. Charges may apply.
Refunds and Exchanges
Togglewire jewelry is made of natural stones that have been polished and dyed by the manufacturers. Dyed stones are like all dyed materials - they may fade from wear. Polish may also wear. Natural stones are breakable or may chip.

Pieces are made of sterling silver or base metal. It’s best to store your jewelry in a dry location or a sealed plastic baggie. Metals may ‘turn’ from moisture, air or beauty products.

Knowing that things happen and we sometimes need to return things, purchases returned within 14 business days of the date shipped will be refunded.

Damaged (broken clasp, wire etc) items may be exchanged up to 60 business days from the date the item is shipped. Damaged does not include natural wear or exposure to moisture, air and beauty products.

Items must be returned in the original packaging. Items not in their original packaging are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

I stand behind the quality of my products. If you feel the product did not meet your expectations and you are not able to resolve the issue by using one of the options above, please convo or e-mail me.
Additional policies and FAQs
Can I save on shipping by ordering more than one item?
Yes! Please convo me, before purchasing multiple items and I'll adjust the shipping.

What's with your item names and descriptions?
I tend to share a little about me and what inspires each piece through the item titles and descriptions. In person, I'm somewhat random and goofy - I might as well share it in here.

Do you offer gift wrap and shipping as a gift?
Yes, I'll gift wrap and ship to the lucky person at no additional charge. Please convo me what message you would like included. At checkout you can add a ship to address.

What's with the butterfly?
Each necklace or bracelet has a base metal butterfly at the end - I use the butterfly charm as part of my brand. I'm in the process of sourcing a new butterfly charm, so when I'm super famous (insert laughter) people can tell what year it was made by the charm.

Do you make clip earrings?
Yes and no. I make the earrings with either lever back or french wires, but they can easily be switched out (no cost) for clips.

Where do the beads come from?
I purchase the majority of my beads and sterling from the same vendors at The Bead Market.

What kind of materials do you use?
Sometimes I forget what the vendors tell me the stones are made of - I am not a gemologist, so all beads are labeled to the best of my knowledge. The majority of the beads I use are agate, jasper or quartz. I use crystals and glass for spacing. Sterling silver is my metal of choice; however, it's rather expensive these days. I like to use wood beads to balance out the weight of heavier stones.

Why is the color of the stones different in person than on screen?
All monitors are calibrated differently. Knowing that all computer monitors do not show color the same, I try to represent the color of the stones by description and various photos.

Who taught you how to measure - the earrings hang lower than 2 inches on me? My dad taught me how to measure. The drop / dangle of the earrings is the length of the stone portion. Ear lobes come in all shapes and sizes and the piercing / hole isn't the same for everyone.

How big is 18 mm anyway?
The item descriptions are important to me, I try to answer all the questions I think someone might have about a piece ... weight, size, color comparison etc.

Sizing Up a Bead
The info below will help you put the size of a bead in perspective.
18 mm (dime)
20 mm (nickel)
25 mm bead (quarter).

The eraser on an old fashioned No. 2 pencil is 6 mm.
The power button the the IPhone 4 is approximately 10 mm.
The end of a AA battery is approximately 14 mm.

I typically use 3 or 4 mm beads as spacers.
