LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This pouch is absolutely perfect in every way. It's super cute and extremely well crafted. I'm using it to carry my planner essentials. It holds a ton and makes me smile whenever I look at it. The seller was a joy to work with as well.

Just in case you were wondering what my life looks like...
Taking photos with one hand while entertaining a certain someone who wouldn't take a nap, with a paper shark puppet...
Real glamorous stuff.

About

Where tradition meets colorful.

Hi friend!

My name is Julie and I'm so glad your decided to visit Tokyo Blossom Boutique! I was born and raised in Japan, and my style is influenced by artists found in the suburbs of Tokyo as well as the photos of post WW2 era attire found in my grandparent's old photo albums. When I was a kid, I would spend hours, dreaming of what everyone must have looked like behind those old black and white photos. Even as an adult, that fascination and curiosity never left me.

I love taking traditional, quality materials such as wool and giving them a modern twist, using bright colors or pushing the boundaries of old school textured.

When I'm not working on a piece for the shop, I am thumbing through old magazines in an antique store, finding vinyl records to add to my collection. The style incorporated into my work is very much a part of me. My goal is to share accessories that reflect the beauty of the past while appealing to the needs of today.

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ's

1.
Q: Do you take custom orders?

A: At this time I do not take custom orders. Because every custom order is so different, it often takes additional hours of planning and designing to create a custom item. I choose to use that time and energy to create new designs and products that I would enjoy recreating and offering over and over again in my shop.

2.
Q: Why do you use wool rather than acrylic or any other artificial fiber?

A: While acrylics are less expensive, and easier to care for, there are already so many shops that offer those convenient qualities. I want to offer unique, designer quality items. At this time I am using Peruvian wool as my fiber of choice, but in the future, I would love to incorporate other gorgeous natural fibers!

3.
Q: What if I change my mind about the product style or the color after I have received it?

A: All sales are final. My products are not pre made. When you ask me to 'swap out' or 'redesign' an item, it involves multiple hours or remaking the product at no additional pay. While I love what I do, I firmly believe that my time and talents are valuable, and I do not work for free, so please decide carefully before placing your purchase. I'm always here to answer your questions, so feel free to ask prior to placing your order. Please refer to the Refund Policy section for additional info.

4.
Q: What if I like the product, but I want a different variations? Ex: I like the coffee cup cozy, but I really want buttons that goes over and under the mug rather than through?

A: At this time, all products are made as shown in the photos. While I offer color variations, and inspirational label variations, I consider everything else to be a custom order, which I am currently not accepting.

5.
Q: What if I receive a product in the wrong color, or with the wrong inspirational tag?

A: While this rarely happens, I am capable of making mistakes. Please contact me immediately, and I will review the order history, and send you the correct product variation ASAP at no additional charge.

6.
Q: Do you use your own patterns?

A: Yes! While there may be similar products out there, each item I have in my shop started with yarn, needles, and a note pad. Every prototype item generally gets made, only to be pulled apart 3 to 4 times before I come up with a design that I am happy with. This is one of the biggest reasons that I do not take custom orders. While I love designing new patterns, because of the time consuming nature of what I do, I want to make sure that I am spending the majority of my time in the actual 'making' part of production.

7.
Q: What if I accidentally cut my product while trying to open the package?

A: Each order is carefully wrapped with plenty of room to open the package without causing damage to the product. I cannot be held responsible for damage that was caused by the buyer.

8.
Q: I accidentally 'felted' or shrank my wool product!! Do you replace the damaged product?

A: No. Each order comes with detailed care instructions and a complimentary packet of wool soak to ensure that you have the proper guidlines to care for your new product. I cannot be held responsible for damage that was caused by the buyer.

9.
Q: What is a 'Yuzu', and why does is say that on the wool wash packets???

A: Yuzu is a special citrus fruit in Japan known for it's delicate fragrance. It's often used in cooking and natural bath soaks. The wool wash that I process each order with is Yuzu scented.
