only 41 days left to Halloween! am i the only one counting down? i listed some new gore earrings in my shop! i only have a very small quantity of that film, unfortunately, so I can make approximately a dozen or so pairs total... get yours while you can!
i just listed a few limited edition earrings, made out of a black and white movie. i really like these, featuring shots of gorgeous brick homes with staircases that remind me of SoHo’s cast iron historic district, or streets of Montréal or Limoilou.
this is what inspired the new fall season colors i chose: amber yellow, slate gray, garnet red, lichen green, classic black and pastel dusty pink.

Want to know a little about the creator?

.tomate d’épingles. literally means “tomato pincushion”; it’s a pun, in French, because the word pincushion (pelotte) and the word tomato (tomate) kind of sound alike. My first jewelry line was made out of buttons and sewing notions, so the pincushion felt just right.

I’ve loved creating as far as I can remember. My mom encouraged me to do all forms of arts, when I was a kid. She was a very crafty woman herself, knitting, sewing, creating fabric and cardboard doll houses, making salty play dough I would love to eat almost as much as I would love to sculpt. She still encourages me in all my endeavors, and I still love to create things … although I don’t eat play dough anymore.

My creative process is almost as eclectic as my collections. I’ve always been fascinated with jewelry. I’m engrossed in traditional arts and crafts techniques, like weaving for example. But i am also a huge fan of all things modern and minimal. I try to think outside the box as much as I can. Which makes my creations a very personal take on traditional techniques, stripped down to their bare minimum, and made out of alternative materials.
