Our cozy studio, hand built by my sweetie out of recycled and reclaimed materials. Filled with light and love.
Heartfelt, handmade art. Gifts for life, love and celebrating!
Our short story goes like this:
When our son was just beginning to read, we went to our neighborhood library and checked out some books.
The refrigerator at home was so full of notes, pictures and receipts, there was no room for him to put the reminder print out of when the books were due back.
At that time I had a small ceramics business, making magnets and ornaments, so I decided to make him a magnetic board of his very own for his room.
I took that prototype to a wholesale show to display my magnets, and there was such wonderful support, I created a whole new business.
I designed this line of chalkboards and sold them for 8 years, until I decided it was time to truly follow my hearts desire, and begin painting.
Now I paint almost everyday, and have a line of contemporary-folk art-modern-playful paintings that I turn into reproductions.
My tag line: Enthusiastic art that makes me smile and I hope it brightens you day, too.
My cozy little studio is nestled in our backyard garden. Surrounded by greenery and the Northwest light, I love the saturation of colors, dancing when I paint, and practicing everyday how to be in the moment.
An ongoing practice for sure.
