5 out of 5 starsFirst, a tip of the hat to Etsy: you folks shipped on time and Lumen arrived safe and sound. Pleasure doing business with concerned professionals!
Now, for Lumen, Vol. 1...
Let me be blunt: the imagination and creativity that spawned Lumen (Vol. 1) is on the same par as anything written by John Brunner or Alejandro Jodorowsky. Seriously, this graphic novel/comic is sly, hip, inventive, and cynically post-apocalyptic...and this is meant in a very complimentary way! Much like Ellison's A Boy and His Dog, Lumen grabs the reader by the lapels and shakes him/her around for a good old fashion jostle. The story is tight, extremely well-paced and plotted...and the characters are fleshing out in a wonderfully gradual way to keep the reader wanting more.
Hey, and that's just the story!
The artistry has no equal to date! -

5 out of 5 starsTony McMillen gives us a unique voice and style separating him from the all too common copycat works of the current mainstream comic industry.
