A little about Topper&Twine

Topper&Twine was opened in January 2014 and is owned and operated by Samantha in Ontario, Canada. Topper&Twine started out as a cupcake topper business and quickly grew into many other party supply products, such as banners, garlands, gift tags and more! In the summer of 2016, I found that my true passion was in making cake toppers, and decided to focus the shop on making them exclusively.

At Topper&Twine we use the highest quality products available to ensure that you receive beautiful cake toppers to compliment your events!

Most of the items listed in the shop are custom and made to order, special for each individual customer. After your order is processed, each item is then designed, cut, and assembled just for you!

All items from the Topper&Twine shop are handmade and made-to-order, special for you! For this reason, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Refunds will not be issued if an item does not reach you in time for your event, absolutely no exceptions. It is your responsibility as the customer to inform Topper&Twine of the event date BEFORE purchase so we can discuss shipping upgrades. Please read the “Shipping” section above for more information on shipping times and policies.

Exception: If you receive an item and there is a design flaw (meaning I have made it incorrectly) please message me within 24 hours of delivery with a photo so I can make it right!

Additionally; if you are not satisfied with your order once received, please message me within 24 hours of receiving it and we can discuss a solution. Your happiness is important, so please don't hesitate to contact me!
We accept payments via Credit Card, PayPal or Etsy Gift Card.
*Current production time on all orders is approximately 2 weeks, PLUS shipping time*

We are located in Canada. To keep shipping costs low for our customers all orders are shipped via Canada Post Standard Air Mail. This method of shipping does not come with a tracking number. For that reason, Canada Post does not give guaranteed/estimated delivery dates for packages leaving the country.

Shipping upgrades are available for an additional cost.

If you require an item by a specific date a shipping upgrade may be required. Please message me BEFORE you purchase so we can discuss details and decide on the best option for you.

Please be advised that simply adding your event date to the “note to seller” section at checkout does not guarantee your order will arrive in time and does not mean that I have agreed to your event date. I do appreciate the effort to let me know your party date, but please message me directly if you have any concerns about arrival times.


CANADA: Shipping times within Canada range widely depending on the destination province. Shipping within Ontario generally takes 3-5 business days, and other provinces typically take about 1-2 weeks. These shipping times are estimates only. Standard shipping does not include a tracking number or a promised delivery date. Upgrades are available to ensure delivery in time for your event. Please send me a message with your postal code and event date for a shipping quote.

UNITED STATES: Shipping times to the U.S. typically range between 5 and 15 business days (1-3 weeks), depending on the destination state. Please be advised that these are estimates ONLY, and that I am not able to promise any specific delivery dates to the U.S. unless you purchase an upgrade to Expedited or XpressPost Shipping. Please message me before you purchase so we can discuss the upgrade.

Shipping upgrades to Expedited or XpressPost are now available during the checkout process for orders shipping to the USA.

INTERNATIONAL: International orders are always shipped with Air Mail. This method is much faster than surface mail, but can still take a few weeks to reach you. I am not able to provide an exact shipping date for any international orders, but they generally deliver within 2-6 weeks of shipping.

Each destination country is a different distance and each country has different rules and procedures for handling incoming international mail. Please make sure to check with your local post office to find out your country’s customs inspection regulations and handling times.

At this time we unfortunately are not able to offer shipping upgrades on orders shipping internationally.


Your order will ship to the address and name indicated on your Etsy invoice. The address will be copied exactly as provided, so please make sure to include any details needed for proper delivery (such as apartment or unit numbers).

Any packages returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer are subject to a re-mailing charge. This charge must be paid by the customer before the item can be re-shipped to the corrected address. A refund can also be issued on returned mail excluding the original shipping charge – except for customized items.


We package all of our orders with great care to ensure that your item will not be damaged during transit. However, we ALWAYS suggest upgrading your shipping to a tracked and insured method of shipping to guarantee there are no problems or delays with your item.

Parcels are considered “Lost” by location, and the timing listed below:
-CANADA: 4 weeks after the shipping date.
-USA: 6 weeks after the shipping date.
-ALL OTHER COUNTRIES: 9 weeks after the shipping date.


Buyers from the USA and other International destinations are responsible for any customs/duty or additional taxes required by your particular country. Please be sure to check with your country’s customs rules and regulations prior to purchase to ensure you are informed about, and prepared for, any additional charges that may occur at the time of delivery. We at Topper&Twine are not able to reimburse for any of these potential charges.
