Thank you for visiting my shop, Touching Art. I hope you found something you love here. I want to make your experience of purchasing art as pleasurable and fulfilling as my experience of making it.

I welcome your questions on the artwork, process, or any particular piece you are interest in. I also welcome and encourage feedback on this shop, the information about the work, and your buying experience. Please send me a message about anything at all regarding this shop, or my artwork. In buying and selling artwork online, good communication is a necessary ingredient.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be happy with your art purchase from Touching Art. If your piece is different from what you expected for any reason, please contact me immediately. I will accept returns within 7 days. This means that you email me that you want to return the piece and ship it within 7 days of receiving it. It will, of course, take time to get back to me.

Please contact me about your intention, and the reason. The feedback is helpful. Then ship the piece fully insured, at buyer's expense. I will credit your purchase price toward the purchase of another piece, or refund your money.

If you have questions about a piece you've owned for a while, please contact me to discuss.
It is easy to complete your purchase through Paypal, my preferred payment method. You don't need a paypal account to use Paypal. I use Paypal to process payments by debit or credit card. You can also pay by echeck through Paypal. (At Paypal, under payment method, click "change". You can then select "echeck" if your bank account is linked to your Paypal account.)

I can also set up payment plans through Paypal. Please diretc message me about setting up a payment plan that meets your needs. I want to make it simple for you to own the pieces you love.

If you have problems paying online, I will accept a paper check or money order through the mail.

When your payment is complete, I will ship your art work. I will send you a message when I have shipped, and your expected delivery date.

Maine State residents, please add 5% sales tax.
I ship to all locations in the United States by US first class or priority mail with insurance. If at all possible, I will do my best to honor special shipping requests for overnight, registered mail, or using a different carrier. Please contact me to discuss your special shipping needs and pricing.

For international shipping, please contact me to discuss the best method and price. I will issue a separate invoice through paypal for your shipping. All customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Because my work is hand made, one of a kind and not replaceable in case of loss or damage in shipping, each piece must be shipped insured.

If you are purchasing more than one piece, please contact me, as we may be able reduce the price of shipping and insurance on the combined purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
I enjoy the intimacy of working directly with collectors to create special works. If you'd like to commission a piece, please contact me to discuss your desire. There is a 50 to 100% surcharge on commissions, depending on the complexity of your request. A nonrefundable deposit of 50% is required for me to begin work on your piece. More information on the commission process is available upon request.
