Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my shop...touchthedutch is the online open studio that carries recent work by artist Anneke van Bommel.
I was an Etsy Featured Seller on the front page, and you can read my interview here, and learn a bit about what I do...
http://www.etsy.com/featured_seller.php?featured_user_id=5274564
Featuring contemporary, handmade studio jewellery with an emphasis on limited edition pieces, one of a kind works and recent explorations. Every piece is carefully hand crafted with an emphasis on careful design and exacting finishes.
I also have a vintage shop which is here!

Etsy has been an incredible experience for me, provided me the opportunity to "meet" people from all over the world, to be inspired by collaborative concepts and to make something unique for that individual, or as a surprise gift. It's often the stories that develop over time, as I get to know my clients, and their feedback that keeps me inspired in my studio.
If you like what you see, and the item is sold, contact me and we can make arrangements. I am also open to custom designing for you or working together on special projects...these are some of my favorite projects :)
Every piece is handmade or rendered so no two pieces are exactly "identical".
Anneke van Bommel works out of her vibrant studio which is located in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia Canada. Her work has been exhibited and published locally and internationally. All objects are carefully well crafted and sensitively created.
Thanks for taking a peek, and I am looking forward to the adventure that is Etsy!

5 out of 5 starsWhat an amazing/beautiful piece! The picture does not do it any justice. Beautifully wrapped and such attention to detail.

5 out of 5 starsSo glad I discovered this shop. I had been looking for an antique gimmel ring but they are expensive and would not have withstood daily wear. Now I have a custom made gimmel at a fraction of the cost of an antique! Even better the seller is Canadian. Always happy to patronize Canadian sellers!

5 out of 5 starsSeller quickly answered all questions and messages. Item is more perfect than I could imagine, I am so happy with it and it well exceeds my expectations. Seller was forthright with Covid delays to manufacturing and delivery and kept me in the loop.
I am very pleased I went with a custom ring rather than struggling to find an antique Fede Gimmel. -

Contemporary Handmade Jewellery and Objects.
Touch the Dutch studios began with a dream and a belief that the stories that our jewellery can communicate are important. Equally important are pieces that explore our intricate connections to one another.
A career Jewellery Artist (since 1996!), I design with the belief that the best work should express these intangible connections and it should be lasting, heirloom quality work that can be celebrated for generations to come.
My work is exploratory, and I have a few areas of focus: Custom Jewellery, Exhibition Work, A Ready to wear Jewellery collection and Interior Object Design.
I also design with the belief that the process and collaboration should be just as exciting as the final piece, after all this is your story, and I want to help you tell it.
The themes of identity, memory, home, secret societies and have kept me engaged and excited about making new work over the years.
Etsy has been a fantastic experience for me, meeting people from all over the world who enjoy my work, creating custom work for clients, it's been a great platform to showcase my work, and build lasting friendships. I was pleased to be a featured, main page artist, and my interview can be read here, to learn a bit more about what I do...
