Alkemest is an innovative British brand bringing playfulness and tactility to practical gifts and accessories.
Alkemest puts clever design at the heart of each creation, so that as well as being life-enhancing and genuinely useful, you can expect a little something extra… Sumptuously fun prints, seamless practicality and an irresistibly joyful sense of humour. Everyday objects designed to be that little bit extra-ordinary.
ALKEMEST VALUES
Crucially, Alkemest only creates products from biodegradable and naturally sourced materials, and they’ll arrive with you in beautiful packaging that is recyclable, compostable and responsibly sourced. This isn’t just a manifesto, it’s a core design principle informing every element of the creative process – from conception through material sourcing to final shipment.
Natural, biodegradable leathers are always sourced recycled as a waste product of the food industry from trusted British and European suppliers who meet strict European standards of animal and worker welfare. Alkemest’s vegan products are non toxic, created from plant-based sources to be as biodegradable as possible – with innovative cactus and pineapple fibres taking the place of flimsy and planet-poisoning PU ‘vegan’ leathers. Alkemest believes designing a beautiful future means making long-term sustainable choices.
The Alkemest brand was founded by Tovi Sorga in 2022, a British product and print designer with a background in leathercraft who has over a decade experience creating unique and stylish accessories.
DECADES OF DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Tovi’s work has been featured widely in the press – from GQ, Cosmo, Refinery 29 and Stylist to The Telegraph, Financial Times, How to Spend It, The Guardian and many, many more... His designs have been commissioned by the likes of the Royal Academy and Rijksmuseum and his products have been created in partnership with global brands such as Barclaycard, Infineon and Visa.

The magnolia blossom print is striking, and I love the way that I can keep cash, identification, a house key, or whatever else safely tucked inside the inner pocket.
