This is my second custom platter from this shop. I gave each one as a wedding gift and the recipients loved them! Such a nice idea and a very helpful shop!

About

To Your Art's Content: From Small Exeter Shop to the World

My mom and I opened our small town paint-your-own pottery shop in Exeter, NH back 10 years ago... wow! I was 19. And here we do everything from walk in business, to birthday parties, to ladies nights out, to clay sculpting and wheel work, to glass fusing, and everything in between.

Through my passion with ceramics, I have been making personal gifts and doing commissioned ceramic art for years. And I thought... why not online?

Etsy has provided a great way to reach my worldwide customers with the work I love to do! My most popular item is my Wedding Invitation Platters. These are amazing gifts and I have great fun puzzling out the best way to go about creating a lasting image of the couples’s invitation.

I want to pay my respect to the many amazing Invitation Artists!!!!! You guys are AWESOME and you make my art what it is! Such beautiful designs, textures, colors and more! I love taking your design and making it come to life on my ceramics! So thank you for you inspiration!

I usually do my work late at night after my babies have gone to bed. With a 4yr old boy, and a 2yr old girl, and another on the way, I'm one busy Mommy! But I try and find the energy each night to get some of my painting work done. I put on a TV show and sit with a platter in my lap, my colors laying in dishes and trays around me on the couch, and often a cup of tea getting cold beside me. It's a darn good thing glaze is washable, because I can't count the number of times I've spilled that stuff all over my living room!

And now beasue of the opportunity Etsy give me to sell online, I'm sending my art to live in homes not only in the US, but also all over the world! I love it! And I've seen growth through the almost three years I've been here. What a great experience!
