Announcement    Happy Birthday Libras!
Take 10% off most sapphire jewelry now through the end of September!

I hope you are safely home and healthy. Given the current state of the Coronavirus Pandemic, my shop is in constant state of evolution. Although many suppliers and fabricators in New York City's Jewelry district have reopened for business, some remain closed due to the crowded nature of their workspace while others are only allowing business through the mail, rather then by drop off and pickup. Nevertheless, I have returned my shipping estimates back to normal, as I am optimistic that everyone needs to get back to work to make a living! My delivery estimates are no longer extended, but please be understanding if this is not the reality, let's keep our fingers crossed, USPS has been the main problem, but recently has been delivering on time.

MOST ORDERS WILL NOW SHIP FOR $10 PRIORITY MAIL. I can no longer offer free shipping both because this option uses First Class Mail which at current seemingly takes weeks. And also to cover additional shipping costs incurred to source supplies and send items to/from artisans who do finishing work like diamond setting, engraving and plating. Hopefully, this is temporary, and I will soon return to free shipping. Orders over $500 ship PRIORITY EXPRESS, with the upgrade and insurance cost paid by me.

Please Note: Priority Mail, no longer means 1-2 days, it has been more like 3-4 days recently, while Express items, still do usually arrive in 1-2 days throughout the USA.

Unfortunately, at the current time, I am not taking orders from outside the USA/Canada given the delay in shipping times (and lack of accurate tracking) around the world.

Please note that each item is handcrafted by me, and there will be slight variations in each piece, which is the beauty of handmade! All measurements are approximate.

Most orders will be boxed, tied with ribbon and wrapped in tissue. If you mark as a gift, your note will be printed and included with a blank card and small paper tote. Sterling silver items are packed in a logo pouch and free polishing/wrap cloth to prevent tarnish.

If you are not happy with your item and it is not a custom order, I will gladly take it back within a week. After this grace period, I am happy to make adjustments or repairs, even if you have admittedly abused the item (as my friends have often owned up to). My jewelry is designed to be worn everyday, and people do! There is no time limitation on adjustments or repairs if I am still in business, except for plating which is guaranteed for a year, after which I am happy to re-plate for a small charge.

The vast majority of materials used in my jewelry are sourced domestically and made in the USA. Top suppliers include: Hoover & Strong (Virginia), Rio Grande (New Mexico), Ross Metals (NYC), Herschlag Findings (NYC) and Manhattan Gold (NYC); all claim their products to be refined and manufactured in the USA. Gemstones are sourced primarily from abroad, most often India. All diamonds are ethically sourced, natural and genuine, either recycled or mined conflict free.

AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2019, ETSY IS COLLECTING AND REMITTING SALES TAXES ON OUR BEHALF IN MORE THEN 35 STATES: For those states that Etsy does not collect tax, the tax responsibility is yours.

After more then 20 years working as an Analyst on Wall Street investing in Consumer/Retail companies, Tracy Hutt Jewelry began as a creative outlet and hobby while being a stay at home Mom. Tracy studied jewelry fabrication, mostly goldsmithing, for many years at the 92Y in New York City.

She is extremely thankful to all of her teachers, including Pam Farland (goldsmithing), Donna Distefano (goldsmithing), Ji Won Han (metalsmithing), Michael Good (anticlastic raising), Andrea Harvin Kennington (micro anticlastic techniques), Klaus Burgel (silversmithing & hollow forms), Davide Bigazzi (repousse), Lisa Spiros (metalsmithing), Fredricka Kulicke (granulation), and John Cogswell (stone setting).

Now that the kids are older, Tracy has finally achieved her dream of owning her own business. Her work has been featured in Robert Redford's Sundance Catalog, and she was a 2014 Style Finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made annual competition. Her current line consists of simple modern designs, handcrafted the old fashioned way, with the finest gold and silver materials.

Each piece is individually designed and fabricated at her Loft in NYC, with occasional finishing work done by artisans on 47th Street (casting, plating and diamond setting). All pieces are handmade in NYC using classic Roman techniques but designed with a modern aesthetic, picking up on fashion trends emerging from the Downtown NYC scene.

Many of the pieces in the current line are hand forged and/or have fine soldering techniques involved. It is not by accident that Tracy finds herself playing with fire and working with her hands. Born in Electchester Flushing Queens, both her father and grandfather were Local 3 Electricians that helped construct the Verrazano Bridge and built ships in the Brooklyn Navy Yards. She was exposed to a torch and solder in her family's garage while growing up in the suburbs, where she often assisted her dad with projects around the house.
