The fabrics are awesome. Just love to sit and look at them. Better in real life.

Tré Lilli is a father-daughter collaboration between artist Trés Taylor and designer Lillis Taylor. Lillis is a Birmingham, AL native who returned to her hometown in 2010 to start Tré Lilli. She received a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Washington in 2003 and worked as a product developer in the toy industry. After a visit to factories in China, she returned to Seattle, quit her job and spent a year teaching in Wuhan, China. Taylor returned to Seattle for graduate school and received an MA in China Studies from the University of Washington in June, 2009. Since graduation, she has ventured home, seeing great opportunity for the rebirth of a cottage industry in textiles.

Taylor draws inspiration from an assortment of visual ephemera collected from her travels: the colorful garb of native mountain peoples in Southern China, 60 ft paper floats painted and illuminated for festivals in Northern Japan, the sun setting on a salmon-colored tower in a Tuscan vineyard, Mountain Laurel growing in the shade of a river canyon in rural Alabama. Taylor also draws inspiration from her father's art and creates clothing and home goods that offer a chance to live in a world peopled by monks and lovers.
