Tribal Groove is a family owned shop that has been in business for about 20+ years.

Tribal Groove is a family owned shop that has been in business for about 20+ years. We are located in Brooklyn, NY- the mecca of urban style. Here in Bedford Stuyvesant, we're constantly inspired by what's around us. In the past we've been know for selling vintage and our designs at places like Brooklyn Flea, Dance Africa and The African Street Festival (aka International Arts Festival). So, our designs reflect that aura of excitement. We use African Wax fabric and choose prints that are bold and unapologetic. We aren't afraid to express who we are and in our creations we pay respect to our rich heritage. At this time, we only do business online but will do an occasional fair when time permits for we are educators as well, working in the public schools in our area. READY TO SHIP ITEMS:
Returns for "ready to ship" items:
As of lately, we have been able to offer 'ready to ship' items. We define "ready to ship" as any item that is not custom made according to the customers body measurements. Since these items are made in advance, thus not custom made, we offer a full refund upon dissatisfaction. However, in order to receive a refund you must:
1) return the unworn or unwashed item at your own expense.
2) show proof that the item is being retuned to us within 3 days of receipt (ex. tracking number).

Turnaround Time for "ready to ship" items:
All ready to ship items will be shipped out within 3-10 business days. Please see the listing for details.

CUSTOM ORDERS:
We define a "custom order" as an order that we make according to measurements that the customer provides. This includes hemming or any other alteration that is specifically requested by the customer.

Returns/Exchanges For Custom Orders:
Because a custom order is an item that is made according to the customers request, it will be difficult for us to resale the item in question. Therefore, If an error is made by the customer, all sales will be final. However, if this happens, we will do all that we can to fix the the item. Adjustments for custom orders will cost 30.00 per item (40.00 for dresses) and if needed, we will remake the item and offer a 15% discount on the repurchasing of the item. Having said this, it is extremely important to provide the correct measurements as we make the item to the exact measurements that are provided. We are more than willing to assist in measuring yourself. Just contact us and we will set up a skype, phone call or direct you to a website to the services you might need.

Turnaround Time For Custom Orders:
All 'custom orders' will be shipped out within 4-6 weeks from the date you have provided all required measurements. Please refer to the listing for a more detailed time frame.

CANCELATIONS:
There have been times when a customer places an order but wants to cancel. We are willing to cancel any order for any reason upon the customers request as long as it is not a 'custom order' (all custom orders are final). However, because we pay to list all items, all cancelations will incur a 5% restocking fee. Please note that this is non-negotiable. Thank you for your cooperation.

RUSH ORDERS:
A rush order is defined as an order that is needed before the specified turnaround time on the listing.
If a rush order is needed, please contact us before purchasing to see if we can accommodate you. All rush orders carry a fee of 20.00. This service is in addition to the stated shipping costs on the listing. A rush order guarantees that we will put the item in the mail by the agreed upon time discussed between the ourselves and the customer. Please note that we cannot be responsible for postal delays as we are not the company that will be shipping the item. Please contact us for more information.

DEADLINES:
If you need your package before a certain date, kindly contact us BEFORE purchasing so that we can see if a rush order is needed. After an item is purchased, unfortunately, we may not be able to assist you with your deadline.

Shipping
SHIPPING - USA CUSTOMERS ONLY:
All domestic orders within the USA will be shipped using the United States Postal Service. The timeframe stated by the company is approximately 5 business days from shipment. However, it is important to note that this time is not guaranteed. Because we are not a shipping company, we cannot be responsible for delivery or delays within the US Postal Service. Nevertheless, we will refund your money or send you out another item if we see that your item is held up for more than 30 days as this more than likely means that your package is lost. But please note that we cannot re-ship an item or issue a refund if the delay is less than 30 days because we have seen packages show up in the system after a few weeks. Please let us know if you need your item by a certain time before you purchase so that we can discuss other services that are guaranteed by the Postal Service.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
To cut down on shipping costs, all of our listings reflect the cost of International First Class Mail via The United States Postal Service. Below is a brief description of First Class Mail and other shipping options.

INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS MAIL
International First Class Mail is the slowest most economical way to ship internationally. It usually takes about 2 weeks for packages to reach overseas once shipped. However, there have been cases where it has taken longer (7-45+days...eekk!). If you decide to keep this service, please be patient! I've rarely witnessed a lost package but it is possible. In the case where your package is not delivered within 45 business days of shipment, we will resend you another item or refund your money. Please note that we cannot be responsible for packages being held in customs or any other delays once it leaves our possession.

INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL
According to the post office, when you use International Priority Mail your package will be delivered within 7 to 10 business days. Although this is true most of the time, it is not guaranteed. Please note that we cannot not be responsible for your package being held in customs or any other delays once it leaves our possession.

INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS MAIL
International Express Mail (in most cases) is quickest way to receive your package. Although very costly, the post office guarantees 3-5 days for delivery (as long as everything goes smooth with customs:).

If interested in any of these methods, please let us know before you purchase.

TAXES AND/OR DUTIES:
**We are obligated to state the actual cost of the item on the customs form. There might be taxes or duties that have to be payed by the receiver before you are able to obtain your item. There is also a chance that your package could be held in customs. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause you but these matters are beyond our control.

Refunds and Exchanges
**returns, exchanges and adjustments:
All custom orders are final sales and cannot be exchanged unless we make an error. In that case, we will adjust/remake the item for you at no additional cost. Just contact us and ship it back to us with in 72 hours of delivery and we will do all we can to fix the issue based on our guidelines. If the item doesn't fit based on an error of the customer, we will gladly adjust the item for a fee of 30.00 (40.00 for dresses). The customer is also responsible for all shipping charges associated with the return and reshipping of the adjusted item. We apologize for the inconvenience but we cannot accept any items after a timeframe of 3 days. Allowances will be made for international customers, but the customer must show proof within 72 hrs of delivery, that the item is on it's way back to us (ex. tracking number). Please note that in the rare case where an item doesn't fit because the measurements provided are really off, we will gladly remake the item for a 15% discount of it's original cost. Therefore it is extremely important to provide the correct measurements (be sure to add allowance for comfort when necessary) to avoid this from happening. Can this dashiki fit me?

We get this question quite often :) The best way to know if the item will fit is to measure yourself. Then compare that measurement to the measurements that are on the listing. We estimate most of our dashikis to fit anyone who wears a size 0 to a size 2XL. However, it is very important to pay attention to the measurements. If you don't have a measuring tape we suggest you buy one. It's a needed tool when shipping online! Thanks for your interest xo
