My name is Tricia Schroeter and I’m so glad you’re here to check out my handmade items. I love sewing fun handmade items, like custom pillows, bags, and other gift-y things with the intent of making you smile. Everything I sew is truly made with love. I use pure linen, which is beautiful and sustainable, and 100% quality cotton in the majority of my products. Take a look around my shop. I hope you see something you like!

I learned how to sew during home-ec class in middle school, but I didn't really sit in front of a sewing machine again for another 10 years or so before borrowing my mom's dusty old Singer to make a Halloween costume for my baby, Jacob. It turned out pretty cute! It was a shiny red stop sign that was as big and silly as Jacob himself.

That was the start of a Halloween tradition making hand-made costumes for my family every year. I then started making costumes for friends, other family members, and local theater productions.

When my kids were both in elementary school, I juggled my full-time job in order to spend time volunteering in their classroom. I helped with math and reading, but found I really enjoyed teaching art the most.

Motivated by my time volunteering with creative kids and making fun stuff with a sewing machine, I decided to ditch the corporate world once and for all and opened up a small sewing school for kids. TrishTacSew Sewing School for Kids officially opened in 2013. I share my love of sewing with kids and adults everyday and its been the best job I’ve ever had.

I’m inspired every day by my students and I use that inspiration when making cute things to sell in my shop.
