Shipped quickly and arrived very well packaged against breakage. Love these plates! I am looking forward to using them for the cake cutting at our wedding, and then hanging them on our wall at home :)

About
Hand painted OOAK bespoke vintage china items with text and illustrations in porcelain paint.
Back in 2005 I found an article in READYMADE magazine about Etsy and decided I would develop a range of art products to sell using old china.
I had used porcelain paint on new commercially made china back in the 90s primarily as an experiment and a way to supplement my Art career as a sculptor so it was exciting to find an outlet online for my ideas.
Old vintage china has a beauty to it but at that stage was not as fashionable as it is now. I liked the idea of recycling or upcycling it to create art works for display.
I push the science a bit with the process as porcelain paint is largely designed for new china products.
Almost 10 years later I'm still doing it and have seen a lot of changes.
I have had a great deal of publicity and even some celebrity customers all through my online presence so it has been more successful than I ever anticipated.
I would like to thank everyone who has come along for the ride with me and especially the customers who buy my items year after year.
I would also like to thank Etsy for all the opportunities it has given me.

Shop policies
Most of my items are vintage and therefore from a pre-dishwasher, pre-microwave era. I use french porcelain paint which will only endure dining if you hand-wash items gently and avoid overheating. This may vary depending on the age and wear of the individual item. All items are sent out with a product care label.

Payment
Credit card payments add a further 3-5 days to the transaction.
If you want a faster delivery I suggest using your credit card to open a Paypal account.
I do not accept money orders or checks.
Unless you have made a special arrangement with me all payment must be made within 48 hours of purchase. If payment is not made by this time then the sale will be canceled and items re-listed.
I do not exchange goods please choose carefully.
Shipping
I ship EVERYWHERE- worldwide- spin a globe and wherever your finger lands I will send an item.
If the item you bought is returned to me, additional postage costs will apply if you want me to resend it, so be very certain of your postal details when buying something.
Buyers are responsible for all duties and taxes that may occur.
Sometimes postal centers are guilty of mis-sorting and this can result in a delayed parcel. Unfortunately if this happens you are simply unlucky and I do not compensate for this as it is beyond my control.
I use recycled boxes, bubblewrap and polychips for packaging- not always pretty to look at but as sturdy as I can make it.
Please send additional postage details eg, a change of address or other messages in with your etsy order or convo me.
Many of my boxes are outsized and this may result in a card to call left instead of delivery.

Care instructions
Hand wash in gentle detergent. Avoid sharp utensils as they will scratch designs. Do not microwave or put in a dishwasher.
Custom and personalized orders
I do not do custom orders as all china is one of a kind and cannot be repeated. I do however repeat themes in my words and imagery.
Gift wrapping and packaging
All items are wrapped in bubblewrap and then surrounded in foam chips inside cardboard boxing. This is necessary as all items are fragile. Gift wrapping is not included as packing for durability is of more importance .
Wholesale availability
