About

Coming Full Circle

I was fortunate enough to grow up in Southern California at a time when the public schools were something to be proud of. I had a myriad of opportunities to express my creative self in high school classes such as Jewelry Design (rest in peace Mrs. Tupper), Metalsmithing, Ceramics, Oil Painting and Watercolor Painting. Although I loved (and still do) participating in anything creative, jewelry design became my passion. I continued to explore it in college, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art from the California State University at Long Beach.

I worked in Interior Design for several years and, as is commonly the case in life, I took a detour from my creative pursuits for many years and concentrated on having a family, devoting my time to them and helping them find THEIR passion in life.

In 2001, around the time I became an empty nester with more time on my hands, a random trip to a bead store re-piqued my interest in jewelry design. I took a few metal smithing and jewelry classes at the local college to brush up my skills and started designing and creating jewelry again. I also started selling jewelry at local arts & crafts shows. By 2009, my business was growing and I acquired several wholesale accounts including the global online and print catalog retailer, Uncommon Goods. 2009 was also the year I started selling jewelry on Etsy. I love their philosophy of supporting handmade goods.

My biggest inspiration comes from nature. I love the detail and asymmetry that can be found in even the simplest object. My designs and materials vary as new creative ideas emerge but lean toward the classic and feminine. Sometimes I add a little 'edge' and 'whimsy' just to keep things interesting.

I'm so grateful to be able to make a living doing something I love and have a passion for. It's taken a long time to get here with detours along the way but I made it!

I've always been creative. My first original artwork was done with red lipstick on carpet when I was 3, the same age as in the photo. Today, I use that same creative spirit to design and create jewelry. I love what I do!!

Additional policies and FAQs
Caring For your Jewelry:
Sterling silver, copper & bronze naturally oxidize over time when exposed to air and other corrosive chemicals, including but not limited to, lotions, perfumes, chlorinated or salted water. In addition, wearing your jewelry while bathing is not recommended as the water vapor and chemicals in the water will speed up tarnishing.

Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately in an airtight container such as a plastic bag. This will discourage the oxidation process (will not stop it).

Should your jewelry require cleaning, you may use a liquid soap (such as Dawn dishwashing liquid) mixed with water. Rub gently and pat your jewelry dry with a soft cloth. Jewelry should be completely dry prior to storage. To maintain a highly polished surface on your metals, use an approved jewelers cloth (available at jewelry and department stores).

If your jewelry has a brushed matte finish, you may use a special abrasive cloth to remove oxidation or small scratches (a small abrasive pad is included with my jewelry designs that are ordered with a brushed matte surface). The abrasive pads are also available to purchase separately.

If your jewelry is wire wrapped or has intricate details and cleaning/polishing is difficult, it is advisable to seek professional cleaning (such as steam cleaning) at your local jewelry store if required.

Following these simple instructions will help keep your jewelry looking fresh and new.
