Announcement
Tuesday is pleased to present a new collection of hand-dyed kimonos for spring/summer 2016, featuring twelve distinct patterns and colors.
Inspired by a recent trip to Paris and a love for Japanese textiles, owner and designer Rian Robison has spent the last year and a half researching, experimenting and developing the original dye techniques featured in her new line. Whether painting with algae-thickened dye directly on the fabric or working in small batches to perfectly control color gradients, each piece is created from scratch at her studio and storefront located in the International District in Seattle, Washington.

5 out of 5 starsI've been looking for this for forever and am usually disappointed when I buy similar headbands/wraps. This however is a Perfect fit, snug, doesn't fall off, perfect width on the back of the head and to top it off the fabric patterns are truly gorgeous. I will be back for more definitely! Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsRian knew I was in a time crunch to gift one of her scarves to a friend and she personally dropped the scarf off at my house! Not only are her items beautiful, but you are always met with a kind and helpful smile when you visit her in person and quick and helpful responses via Etsy. I have told so many friends about Tuesday scarves! One of my favorite Seattle finds!!!

Designer Rian Robison rocking some hand-dyed overalls
Textile Love
Inspired by a recent trip to Paris and a love for Japanese textiles, owner and designer Rian Robison has spent the last year and a half researching, experimenting and developing the original dye techniques featured in her new line of hand-dyed kimonos. Whether painting with algae-thickened dye directly on the fabric or working in small batches to perfectly control color gradients, each piece is created from scratch at her studio and storefront located in the International District in Seattle, Washington.
Each kimono is made from a lightweight semi-sheer woven 100% rayon fabric that is hand-dyed in a variety of custom mixed colors and original patterns with professional quality fiber reactive dyes, ensuring wash-fast and vibrant shades. The minimalist rectangular shape of the kimonos create a beautiful drape over the shoulders and produce little to no material waste by utilizing whole pieces of fabric without scraps from corners and irregular cuts.
