Announcement   Tuesday is pleased to present a new collection of hand-dyed kimonos for spring/summer 2016, featuring twelve distinct patterns and colors.

Inspired by a recent trip to Paris and a love for Japanese textiles, owner and designer Rian Robison has spent the last year and a half researching, experimenting and developing the original dye techniques featured in her new line. Whether painting with algae-thickened dye directly on the fabric or working in small batches to perfectly control color gradients, each piece is created from scratch at her studio and storefront located in the International District in Seattle, Washington.

About

Textile Love

Inspired by a recent trip to Paris and a love for Japanese textiles, owner and designer Rian Robison has spent the last year and a half researching, experimenting and developing the original dye techniques featured in her new line of hand-dyed kimonos. Whether painting with algae-thickened dye directly on the fabric or working in small batches to perfectly control color gradients, each piece is created from scratch at her studio and storefront located in the International District in Seattle, Washington.

Each kimono is made from a lightweight semi-sheer woven 100% rayon fabric that is hand-dyed in a variety of custom mixed colors and original patterns with professional quality fiber reactive dyes, ensuring wash-fast and vibrant shades. The minimalist rectangular shape of the kimonos create a beautiful drape over the shoulders and produce little to no material waste by utilizing whole pieces of fabric without scraps from corners and irregular cuts.

A scarf, cowl and hood all in one, Tuesday scarves are the perfect, versatile, all-season accessory. The unique loop style is easy to throw on as an accessory for any outfit, day or night.

As the designer, I hand select fabric and sew each scarf myself. Quality and style are so important that every scarf I make is a scarf I would wear.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. Please note that all fabrics are unique and limited in supply, therefore I may not be able to accommodate all special requests.

Please check back frequently for new styles, prints and fabrics!
