About

Part-time pleasure

I work part-time and relax on my days off with my little boy and - given the opportunity - some yarn and a hook or needles.

Tulip Crafts actually started on Facebook as a way to showcase things I'd made for myself and friends without cluttering up my friends' newsfeeds! But people keep saying I should sell, and with my baby days over we have more crocheted blankets in the house than four people can use! So here I am on Etsy, hoping to meet some lovely people and make them some pretty things.

Returns and exchange details
As per EU consumer contract regulations you have the right to cancel your order in writing until 14 days after receipt - however, you will be liable for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty. Please contact me prior to returning an item.
Payment
All orders must be paid in full and cleared into my Etsy account, bank or PayPal account before I ship. I accept all Etsy payment methods.
Shipping
In stock items will normally be dispatched within one working day (weekends and bank holidays do not count) via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For, excluding umbilical cord ties which will not be signed for. Please contact me if you require a different postal service at additional cost. Orders over £50 will be sent Special Delivery (or Parcelforce 48 for items weighing 2kg or more).

Postage costs are quoted using RMs online price finder, with a little added on for packaging materials. All our items are gift wrapped as standard; I do not make any profit on p&p. If I have overestimated postage and packing costs, any overpayment of £1 or more will be refunded within two working days.

Please be aware that Royal Mail may leave your parcel with a neighbour unless you have a formal agreement with them not to do so. If your item does not arrive within 15 working day (as per Royal Mail timescales) it will be re-made as soon as possible.

International customers: Your items (excluding umbilical cord ties) will be sent tracked, however once your item is posted I have no control over the speed of delivery. Please be aware that items may get held up in customs upon entering your country - usually only for a day, occasionally 2-3 weeks. Please allow plenty of time when placing your order and check that Etsy is showing your COMPLETE address before submitting the order. Any applicable customs/import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Privacy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, method of payment, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
- if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
- as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is crucial to my business. I will only share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
- Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to assist me in fulfilling your order, such as Royal Mail and its international partners where required. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
-Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 5 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
At the time of writing this Privacy Policy I do not intend to store or transfer your personal information outside the EU. Should this change in future, this policy will be updated.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Except in exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
- Object. You can object to my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
