Loved this pattern the result was absolutely perfect and the instructions are so clear and easy to follow!! I would strongly suggest using the most stretchy fabric and measuring the pattern against some existing clothes- as it did seem a little small- my 5 year old fit into a size 9.

Welcome to Mountain Ash Designs. We love sewing leotards, dance costumes and swimwear and love creating sewing patterns for others who share our passion for all things stretchy and sparkly.

My daughters certainly fuelled my love of sewing. When they were small there was no end to the wondrous costumes they required to accompany their imaginary games and I was more than willing to sew any costume we could dream up. Then, as my girls grew older and they began to participate in gymnastics, dance and circus I discovered there was a definite lack of gymnastics and dance wear sewing patterns and those that did exist were uncomfortable or baggy or like something that hadn't been updated since the 80s. So Mountain Ash Designs sewing patterns were developed to ensure that my daughters had awesome and unique gymnastics and dance wear to train in and to provide affordable pattern options for those who are on a similar quest for versatile stretch sewing patterns.

So, whether you're new to the world of stretch sewing or a have already caught the stretch sewing bug, we hope you find something to inspire your next sewing adventure among the patterns in our store.
