Jack of all artistic trades
Hello, I'm Rose!
I've studied at Pasadena Art Center and California State University Fullerton, earning degree concentrations in animation and illustration. On the side, I took as many art classes as possible and developed skills in ceramics, sculpture, metal casting, printmaking and various other crafts just for the sheer enjoyment of it. I interned at Cartoon Network Studios and later worked as a prop and set designer for many film projects. I also earned teaching credentials and worked as an instructor of beginning drawing, intermediate drawing, watercolor and oil painting at Mission: Renaissance fine art academy.
Eventually I moved up north to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I now work primarily from my home studio on my 10 acres of mature woods as an artist and illustrator. Besides managing this etsy shop, I am also on various other e-commerce sites which are all linked at my website TursiArt.com . I also sell my work in gift shops, galleries and festivals.
When I'm not creating art, I love foraging in the forest, both for food and art supplies. I'm a citizen scientist with the Fungal Diversity Survey, aka FunDis (Formerly the North American Mycoflora project) - basically this means I help catalog and collect specimens of some of the more rare and interesting mushrooms I come across while wandering in the woods. I am also the Arts Chair for the North American Mycological Association, aka NAMA. I enjoy reenactment events such as SCA, EMP and renaissance festivals. A lot of my crafts are inspired by the things I learn via living history. I also love cooking, homebrewing, gardening & permaculture, mushroom cultivation, and going on adventures.
I fully manage this shop, including all correspondence, and shipping, by myself. I handmake and ship all my items from Washington State, U.S.A.

OTHER RETURNS: There are typically no refunds on custom orders that I can not re-stock in my store, (such as a customized illustration of your own trademarked character, items personalized with names or dates, etc.) Otherwise, for the vast majority of my stocked items and made-to-order items; If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, even just "buyer's remorse", you may return it for a refund of the item value, not including shipping costs. Item must be new / unused and in the same exact condition as when you received it. Return must be initiated within five days of receipt, according to tracking. You must contact me before returning your item.
Unique handcrafted items oftentimes require unique handcrafted customer service tailored to your specific situation. I strive for 100% customer satisfaction and will do everything in my power to ensure your happiness with my products and services. If you have a concern about your order, please feel free to send a convo at any time.
CANCELLATION REQUESTS:
Please think very carefully before making your purchase and then sending a cancellation request, because it is very disruptive for small businesses. All items in this store are finished to order, and production usually begins almost as soon as a purchase is made so that they can go out in the next daily mail run. Having said that, I will honor cancellation requests that are made before I've paid the postage for your package. Once an item is in the mail, I can no longer honor cancellations. Please note that items are often packed up and dropped off at the post office before your shipping notification goes out. For example, all packages that are dropped off Saturday are marked with a ship date of Monday since my local post office is closed on weekends, however the package is physically in the slot at the post office so I can not issue a cancellation if requested, because I have no way to retrieve the package and the postage has already been paid. I also often drop off packages in the evening before the ship date on the package, and/or on Federal holidays. Etsy allows sellers to mark the ship date up to 2 days ahead of when postage is paid for and printed.

Shipping
I try to keep my shipping rates as affordable as possible to the buyer - I recycle boxes and packing supplies when applicable, keep product packaging minimal, and do not typically include invoices or printed receipts unless requested or when required by law.
I'm happy to ship anywhere in the World, though I am not responsible for VAT or other import taxes and fees you may incur via your local customs office.
UK Buyers specifically:
Anything worth more than £15 which is imported to the UK from a non-EU country is subject to VAT at 20% of the item value, plus an additional £8 handling fee. You will likely be required to pay this upon receipt of your package. This hefty tax is imposed by your government. I have absolutely nothing to do with it, nor am I responsible for paying it. I am also not able to mark your item as “gift” or mark it at a lower value, as that would be considered fraud. Please take this into consideration when making your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always happy to consider any commissions or art requests you may have. I also have wholesale rates for many of my jewelry items if ordered by the dozen or more.
I offer a 10% discount to all U.S. Military: Active, Reserves, Veterans and their dependents. Just e-mail me for the coupon code before checkout.
