About

I am a sculptor and doll artist.

A little bit about me and my studio. I started sculpting dolls in 1997. I made only a handful back then and quit sculpting to start a family. In 2008 I got back to doll-making and got serious. I joined ODACA (Original Doll Artist Council of America) in 2010. In the last few years my work has changed from sculpting OOAK art dolls in polymer clay to BJDS. I sculpt my original dolls out of polymer clay, and cast my original sculpts in porcelain or resin. My dolls are original one of a kinds (OOAKS) or very limited editions. Each doll is costumed and finished by me, making them truly a work of art. They all come with certificates of authenticity directly from my studio and signed by me so you know that they are original works.
I named my studio "Turtle Child" after my son, Matthieu. I never expected to be a mother and I had my children late in life. My son is autistic (Aspergers syndrome), and is a highly gifted little boy. Turtle Child is because he took a very long time coming into this world and also it is the symbol for Autism Awareness, a child shaped puzzle piece which kind of looks like a turtle! Turtles also represent protection of the young in Native American culture which is something I see so much in my daily life, living in Montana. You will see the Turtle Child symbol stamped into the back of every one of my dolls. I hope you enjoy my creations, as much as I enjoyed creating them for you!--Kori Leppart

I am first a sculptor, and second a doll artist. I am from Montana and make my original dolls right here in my log cabin studio! My dolls are BJDS (Ball Jointed dolls). I sculpt my originals first in polymer clay, and cast them in resin or porcelain.
