About TweetNStitchy

Sales 910
On Etsy since 2015

We believe in beautiful quality products, clear communication, and being treated as a neighbor and a friend .

Welcome to my shop, Friend!

I opened Tweet N Stitchy in 2015 because of my passion to make everyday objects beautiful with high quality embroidery work.

I'm a mom to 3 girls, and I set my sewing aside for many years so I could invest in my family, something I always wanted to do. Those years were a treasured season for me.

When my girls were tweens, the opportunity to start sewing again came and I snagged it. A friend mentioned to a friend that I was skilled at hand embroidery - and I stitched my first pair of Converse low tops for a sweet bride. Little did I know what kind of roller coaster I was stepping onto! Several months later I opened my Etsy shop!

Custom work shouldn’t be just for an elite group. Beauty is something we all can enjoy and appreciate. I want you to shop at Tweet N Stitchy knowing you will be treated as a neighbor and a friend, experience excellent service, & the final product you receive will be a thing of beauty that you will treasure. And I hope you are as excited as I am when your shoes arrive - Each pair is a unique treasure!

As an owner, I am involved in developing the design and doing all the hand stitching - each step from start to finish. Every pair of shoes listed on Etsy are stitched by my hands, a needle, and thread. I don't use sewing machines, embroidery machines, or anything high tech - its all just my tiny human hands. :)

Prompt, Precise service and Polished hand embroidered goods – this is my goal for everything I make!

I love to hear your comments, feedbacks and suggestions, so please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your support! Please follow me on instagram, facebook and pinterest to hear about what's new, learn about sales, coupons, and deals.

Smiles and hugs :)

- Kim

We aim to ship orders out within each item's noted estimated timeframe from receipt of payment. Items are mailed either in a sealed flat mailing envelope, flat rate envelope, or box with packing material to ensure a safe arrival. Most shipments within the United States are sent via USPS First Class, Priority Mail, or Standard Post depending on the weight and size of the package. Custom shoes are sent via USPS with tracking and insurance unless another method is agreed on. A tracking number is provided on all packages.

IF YOU PROVIDE AN INCORRECT ADDRESS, a fee of $50 will be assessed before we can correct that with the shippers. The shippers assess fees to us for making address changes after they have been shipped. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS INFORMATION!

Please ensure that your mailing address is a secure location for delivery and is updated before you place your order. Signature confirmation services are available if arrangements are made in advance for an additional fee. Please contact us before purchase to add this service onto your order.

Your items will be shipped to the address on the Etsy order - please be sure that the shipping address is where you want the items sent to. Please message me if you need that address to be different - I am able to make some changes on my end of things.

If an order is returned by the post office because of an incorrect address or the address is undeliverable as provided on your order, the order can be reshipped to a new address for an additional shipping cost to you.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after your package has been submitted to and accepted/received by the US Postal Service or other applicable shipping carrier. If your order is stolen, please file a stolen mail report with the USPS in addition to a police report with your local Police Department.

Customs duties, taxes and processing fees may be incurred and are the sole responsibility of the buyer. In some cases these must be paid on receipt. These are fully the responsibility of the buyer - and in no situation are the responsibility of TweetNStitchy or Kim Tweten. Please take this into consideration when buying.

Customs delays sometimes occur. Please purchase in ample time to provide for the possibility of customs delays as part of the process of international buying. Seller will ship promptly within the provided shipping windows (noted on listings). The receipt of international goods sometimes falls outside of the projected shipping window because of customs delays. These are fully not the responsibility of TweetNStitchy or Kim Tweten.

Shipping outside of the US will be with USPS First Class International Package Service. If you would like more shipping options, please contact seller and the additional fees for those options can be added.
Additional policies and FAQs
Expedient and clear communication TO AND FROM the customer are critical for the kind of custom work done at TweetNStitchy. If we make an attempt to communicate with you about your order and do not receive an expedient reply to questions, clarification on design, color choices, sizes, or any other necessary detail, we will allow a reasonable amount of time for you to respond (a minimum of 3 days, but no longer than 1 week). Beyond that time frame, we reserve the right to cancel your order and provide either a full or a partial refund. If we have purchased shoes for you, we will mail the unstitched shoes to you, at cost to you both for the shoes and the shipping. If you have purchased shoes and had them sent to us - we will return the shoes to you, unstitched, at cost to you. Any remaining monies beyond shipping & the cost of shoes (if applicable) will be returned to you. Our chief concern is that you have shoes to wear on your special day, regardless of whether they are stitched or not.

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

1. as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

2. when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for a mailing list I would initiate;

3. if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

1. Etsy.
I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

2. Service providers.
I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

3. Business transfers.
If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

4. Compliance with laws.
I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

1. Access.
You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.

2. Change, restrict, delete.
You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

3. Object.
You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

4. Complain.
If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

We LOVE doing custom and personalized orders. Often personalization can fit into the bounds of what a listing allows, with no added cost.

Custom work often takes a little longer to generate, but is worth the small additional wait time. We will happily give a window of time for completion on work, and will reach out if that window needs to be extended for any reason.

If you don't see something offered here but would like custom embroidery done on an object you already own (jacket, blanket, hoop art, shoes - anything) please ask!

Care instructions

Hand Embroidered Shoes

In the process of creating the stitching, a water soluble marker is used. For lighter shoes, the color of that marker is BLUE, for darker shoes, it is WHITE. While a great deal of care is taken to remove the marker residue, sometimes the marker color reappears, long after the work is done. In these cases, slightly dampen the shoe surface at the location where blue or white residue is apparent with cold water. (You can spritz the shoe with a spray bottle or use a damp sponge.) Allow the shoe to air dry - its condition will be unaffected.

Denim Embroidery

While hand stitching is very durable, washing should be done gently and laid flat to air dry. This will keep your denim and your embroidery looking great.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift wrapping is done with a simple, cheerful paper and a ribbon bow. Your gift message will be attached to the package in a card, so the recipient will know who to send a sweet "THANKS!" to soon.

Embroidered linens will be packaged in either a cardstock wrapper or a cellophane bag and a bow. Your gift note will be attached so the recipient will know who to send a sweet "Thanks!" to soon.

Do you offer services to finish unstarted or unfinished projects?

We love to finish projects - even ones we haven't started!

We have finished incomplete cross stitching pieces for folks, custom stockings, and partially done pieces hiding in craft rooms. If you bought a cross stitching kit to match a room but don't know a running stitch from a french knot - we can help.

These fun things don't come our way often, and they sometimes take a lot more time than a standard listing, so if you have a baby gift you want to finish before your baby graduates from college, or a special cross stitched piece that grandma just can't complete, send us a photo, give us all the details, and we can let you know how much "finishing" will be.

Just ask us!
