About TwentyTwoAndSix
The Begining of Twenty Two & Six
Twenty Two & Six began when, as a pregnant mumma-to-be, I had spent hours trawling the internet looking for the perfect mobile to finish of my bubbas nursery. I knew what I wanted, but I just couldn't find - not for a good price anyway.
I wanted pops of colour, but I didn't want plastic, cartoony, babyish or themed - I wanted simple but striking and something that would see my bub through her new born stage and well into her toddler days and beyond.
I decided that with maternity leave looming I would set about making my own. The first one took me took days, working out the best way to string it, to hang it, getting the length and colours right and hardest of all getting it to hang straight! But I eventually finished it and when I finally hung it up it was perfect.
I loved it, but I didn't really expect anyone else to take much notice but I got so many comments from friends and family about it that I decide to have a go and open a shop.
Inspired by my daughter who was born at 22.06 - Twenty Two & Six was also born.
Receiving positive feedback on something you've made by hand with love and attention is a wonderful feeling and knowing that other people love my creations as much as I do is just the icing on cake.
