Just keep swimming

I've learned throughout the years that nothing comes easy and you have to work hard for everything. With me that included diapering my kids. My oldest could out-poop any disposable and believe me I tried them all. My youngest was allergic to disposable diapers so it was lucky for me that I already started making cloth diapers by the time she came around.

My first diapers were pocket diapers but I quickly learned that I had a strong aversion to sticking my hand into a soiled pocket diaper. After some trial and error I came up with my AI2 diaper covers. I wanted something very versatile that would allow the diapers to be used in more than one way. My covers have snaps inside that allow you to use them as AI2's by snapping in a new insert when ever one is dirty, they also work great over fitted diapers and prefolds.

I discovered that windpro was great for overnight diapering and came up with windpro shorties that had side snaps. I came up with the side snaps because I didn't like having to shove my kids diapered butts into pull up longies and shorties. I thought the snpas made them really convenient but they didn't catch too many peoples attention and they never took off. So I reworked them and came up with my fleece wraps, which have become pretty popular.

My fitteds came around after lots of requests and I have to say that I believe those are my favorite to make. I recently purchased an industrial serger that overlocks the edges of the fitteds it's my favorite machine. I offer a good variety of fitteds but my most absorbent and best seller are my zorb II fiteds.

Training pants were the next logical step in my business. There was quite a bit of frustration coming up with them because I wanted something that didn't look like all the others out there but yet were functional. I wanted something that would allow the child to feel wetness but not leave a puddle on the floor. So with the help of PUL and an absorbent zorb core I came up with my trainers.

Thanks for visiting. I'm sure anyone who is looking to buy cloth diapers are aware of how bad disposables are for the environment. But one thing I didn't realize was how disposables are bad for a babies skin. 70% of babies that are diapered using disposables will have recurring diaper rashes and only 30% of cloth diapered babies will. My daughter developed severe diaper rash when I brought her home from the hospital and used disposables on her. Once I switched to cloth the rash cleared up in 2 days. That's what truly sold me to use cloth.
