Announcement   Welcome to my shop, Twocatsanddoghooking. Do you need a kit? I can make any pattern into a kit for you if you would like.

Please have a look around, you will find patterns, finished rugs, pillows, hand dyed wool and a few surprises from time to time. My love for this heritage craft continues to grow. Custom orders welcomed.

Products come from a smoke free, pet friendly home in the Western Mountains of Maine.

All of my patterns are hand drawn by me on unbleached primitive linen with great care in making sure they are drawn on the grain of the linen. The edges are serged with a 4 inch border to fit easily on your frame. All wool is the best quality found. Hand dyes are my current passion and am adding them as soon as I can get them ready and out of the pot for you to enjoy. That is a process, so be patient and check back to see what new ones have been added to the mix!

If you don't find what you are looking for among my designs and products, please click the links below. I recommend these two of my favorite rug hooking Etsy shops to offer you additional options for your shopping experience. Through our combined efforts we hope you will find your perfect pattern, finished item, hand-dyed and as-is wool, hooks, hooking frames, and many more artisan items.

About

Hand hooked wool rugs with a personal twist. Custom orders considered.

After becoming a rug hooker I realized that this was a craft that spoke to me and my creativity. I could tell a story with wool and I loved the idea! Having always dabbled in one thing or another I was certain that working with wool fibers was how I wanted to spend any free time I could find.I have a small home, so there are only so many rugs I can realistically keep.

My grandmother was a rug hooker who was gone well before I was born but seeing her rugs and hearing the story of how they came to be made me think that rug hooking was a craft I wanted to try someday. It has such a history and the old rugs tell so many stories from their creators lives. What a satisfying way to tell my own story now.

LIving in the Western Mountains of Maine provides stunning inspiration all around.
My family has grown and the next generation will soon follow. Maybe one of them will look to me to share this heritage craft with them in the future. Until then I continue to create and offer some of them to you to have in your homes. They should last a lifetime if properly cared for. If I can create one with your story in mind let me know.
