This is such a cool print! The entire feel of the photo is soooo New Orleans. The resolution is so clear and the colors in the photo are perfect for the feel that it projects. It truly looks amazing on my wall - I love it and am so so happy that I ordered it. Andrew does absolutely amazing work!

I bought 6 of these photographs and put them above my couch. I couldn't be any happier with them. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. Andrew had a phone consultation with me while I was decorating and helped me pick each out and even mocked up different ideas to help me decide. Such a talented artist. I have two more coming for my apartment and cannot wait for them to arrive. Thank you Andrew!

About

method behind the madness.

twointhemorning sprouted from a common theme in my life - 24 hours is just not enough time for one day. From working as a mechanical engineer by day and a photographer at all other times, I manage to keep myself fully occupied and running around constantly. I named my shop two in the morning because I feel like all of my best ideas and uninterrupted work happens in the middle of the night. I have always been a night owl growing up and through college, and now that I have started my career as an engineer, I find myself working late into the night fueling my artistic passion as much as possible.

This shop is a spin off from my photography business, Andrew Koffke Photography, in which I also create custom pieces of art called Wood Prints. Recently, I was featured in a local art show and was looking for unique ways to display my pictures. I am a huge fan of the standard mat and frame display, which I also currently sell; however, showcasing multiple pieces inspired me to think outside the box. I started by transferring the ink from my images into wooden blocks and staining the pieces. While I loved this initial idea, I wanted artwork that would pop while still maintaining that antiquey feel if you were to showcase the piece in your home, apartment, or business. After experimenting with some different paints, I decided to create my own chalk paint and use six different colors that fit my antique pallet. These colors include mint green, vaguely violet, carotene orange, cherry fizz, sky blue, and mellow yellow - all of which give the pieces that initial pop I was looking for.

All of the Wood Prints are custom works of art created by me. From the 7x7 oak wood to the chalk paint to the photographs, each piece is unique. I distress each block by hand to really bring out the rustic look. This process is ever growing and I am constantly experimenting with new ideas as well as photographs. If you are at all interested, please do not hesitate to contact me, and thank you for your continued support of my photography and my artwork.

Custom wood print orders.

If you do not see a Wood Print with the image you would like, please submit a custom order. You can find my entire portfolio at andrewkoffke.com or visit http://www.andrewkoffke.com/p766508492 to view some of the photographs I have already pre-selected. Once you have found the perfect image for your custom Wood Print, please include the specific color option that I offer here on Etsy.

Why do the photographs look grainy and/or poor quality?

Great question. Unfortunately, the file size is very limiting on Etsy, and therefore, all of the associated photographs appear to be poor quality. I can ensure you that the prints are all crystal clear and beautifully colored images. Please visit andrewkoffke.com to see my portfolio and a better rendering of the associated images.
