I love this shop! Theresa is fast and efficient, and each of her pieces are different from the next! I had a hiccup with the Post office and Theresa fixed it BEYOND my expectations. I bought a Toadhouse for my Mom for a Christmas gift, and she is already looking on your site for more! Thank you so much, I look forward to ordering from you again!

About

Everyday Blessings, from My Hands to Yours.

Life is full of "ordinary miracles". From the smallest petals to the spirals that surround us everywhere in nature and out into the galaxy...there is magic if you look deeply.

That magic astounds me every day and finds it's way into my work. Vines and leaves, summer storms and feathered wings...I feel compelled to try to capture them, and perhaps to reach a deeper understanding of the world around me.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have known that I wanted to become an artist. I remember one Christmas, tossing the beautiful doll and toys aside and inhaling the heady scent of my new box of crayons...Heaven on Earth, so full of possibilities! My very wise old great-aunt told me that art was my gift. ("Everyone has one, you know. And that is what you are meant to do."). But practicality led me into a more "sensible" career, although art would always be a part of my life. Luckily, in my forties, I found pottery, fell in love with it, and finally abandoned all to follow my passion. I have been creating pottery for about ten years now, and have been working full-time as a potter/artist for the last six. I feel blessed in the endeavor and in the way people receive my work. People sometimes tell me that they are inexplicably drawn to my work, sensing something that touches their spirit. Then I know that they are seeing the same magic that I see.

I work at home in a small separate garage which has become my own designated studio space. A typical day begins with tea and a quick check of emails and convo's, followed by a short commute across the sidewalk to my job. My best buddy (faithful Airedale Terrier, Max) follows me out to flop in his favorite spot on the studio floor and supervise the work in progress. A few hours of throwing, trimming and sculpting, and I tell Max, "Break!", and he jumps up to follow me in for lunch. Often we will sit on the back deck and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds in the garden, which is always a great source of inspiration. Then back to the studio for the afternoon. Making and selling pottery is very hard work, but this life is incredibly satisfying.

It is a joy for me to be able to share my work with you here on Etsy. I hope you will find something special in it that speaks to you and brings you happiness. Everyday blessings, from my hands to yours.

All the best,

Teresa (and Max)

Welcome to Stone Forest Pottery! I hope you will find something here that speaks to your heart. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

All my pottery will be carefully packaged using bubble wrap and brown paper (I hate peanuts and I think everyone else does). I try to re-use sturdy boxes and bubble wrap whenever possible, but often resort to new boxes to protect fragile pots. You can be assured that your items will be well-packed and will arrive safely.

My goal is to make you happy with your purchase, so if you have any questions or problems please get in touch with me right away through an Etsy convo or through my email at twooden [!at] sfpots.com and I am sure we can work something out.

If you are happy with your purchase please feel free to leave some feedback. Thanks!

Shipping
SHIPPING:

Shipping charges displayed are an estimate...I will calculate shipping per order and refund charges if your shipping fee is more than three dollars in excess of the paid amount. I add tracking to all my orders. If you would like to add insurance to your package, please convo me before purchase and I will add the insurance fee to the total shipping amount. Please note that I ship only to the official Paypal account address. If you want your item shipped to a friend or alternate address, you will have to contact me before purchase and verify that.

All items will ship USPS Priority mail within1 to 3 business days after payment is received and cleared. (To save on gas I will be driving to the post office only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.) If applicable I will combine shipping costs of multiple items shipped to the same address. Convo me when ordering.

Large items that require oversized boxes (more than 12 X 12 X 12) will be sent Parcel Post to reduce cost. Unfortunately this is a little slower, so if you would like to pay the Priority Mail price and get it sooner, let me know before ordering and I will modify the listing to reflect the faster shipping fee. Items costing over $200 will be insured.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: No problem! Just convo me before ordering and I will give you a price on shipping and modify the listing so you can purchase the item. Please keep in mind that all customs and duties charges are your responsibility.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund Policy:

All work is carefully wrapped and packed, however breakage does occur on rare occasions. Items that are received broken will be replaced ASAP. It is the buyer's responsibility to notify me immediately if any part of their order has been damaged. Photo confirmation of the broken item with original packaging will be required via email. Notification of breakage must be made within two (2) days of receipt of item. If the item was one-of-a-kind, a full refund will be made and I am not obligated to re-create it. If the item was in stock, or if there is an agreement made to replace it, the replacement will be shipped as soon as possible and I will pay the shipping. On insured items, please keep the broken item and packaging together until the claim is filed. USPS will require the buyer to file the claim.

No refunds are given for breakage during everyday usage, but I will gladly give a discount if you would like to replace a lost piece. Convo me for details.

If for some reason you are unhappy with the item, or think it is not as described in the listing, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. Notify me within one week of receiving the item, then pack it carefully back in it's box just as it was sent, and mail it back to me. Return shipping for returned items is at the buyer's expense. The refund will be sent to you as soon as the item has arrived safely back in Wisconsin.

It is very important to me that my customers are happy with their purchases. Please ask any questions you may have before ordering, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
Additional policies and FAQs
My pottery can be used in the dishwasher, microwave and oven with proper precautions; (never subject ceramic ware to sudden temperature changes (refrigerator to oven, hot to frozen, etc.) as it could crack from thermal shock)and never expose ceramic wares to a direct flame. Rinse teapots and mugs with warm water before filling with boiling liquid. Place baking ware into a cold oven and heat to temp.

Sorry, but I do not take wholesale nor consignment orders. I just don't have the time. I do not take custom orders unless listed as such in an item posting.
