Welcome to featherinthecap

featherinthecap started as a way to continue practicing my design skills following my graduation from an Advertising degree in 2011. Luckily I found that people who aren't related also liked my card designs. This inspired me to start designing and selling invitations - I've been lucky enough to design the wedding invitations of some of my closest friends and family.

At featherinthecap we are commited to continually improving and increasing our range of items. Our main line is greetings cards and invitations but don't be surprised if from time to time you see items that you wouldn't expect as we continue to try out new things.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
featherinthecap complies fully with the distance selling regulations of the UK.

If you have any issues with your order please contact us as soon as possible on reciept of your item so we can make it right.

Exchanges and refunds are only accepted if items are returned in original saleable condition. The buyer is responsible for all postage costs inccurred for returning a product.

We try our best to represent the colour of all items to the best of our ability; but from time to time differences in screen calibrations may mean that colours look slightly different on screen to real life.

Due to the nature of the recycled card used, sometimes our brown cards will be a slightly different shade of brown pictured. This is beyond our control and is entirely down to the manufacturing process of creating recycled card stock.

We are delighted to announce that we are now producing our white cards on heavier stock to improve quality. We are also delighted to announce that our new cards are made from 100% recycled stock too! So that's better quality and better for trees!

If you are unhappy for whatever reason then we are happy to replace/refund an item as long as it is in resaleable condition.

Personalised items can only be refunded if an error has been made by us in production.
We accept both Paypal and Direct Checkout via credit card, the choice is entirely yours!

Please note that the buyer assumes all responsibility for the payment for any taxes or customs charges incurred.
We will always endeavor to ship your item on the next working day after payment is received. Of course this isn't always possible but if there is any chance we can't post it in 4 working days we will let you know.

Custom orders may take a little longer to create, we will advise you on any timescales for these.

Items that require a visit to the post office (ie International and larger domestic orders) are usually posted twice weekly: Tuesdays and Fridays.

We send all our items Royal Mail first class, typical delivery times are 1-3 days after dispatch.

Occassionally for large orders we may choose to use a courier service.

We send European items via Air Mail, unfortunately no tracking is available. Typical delivery times are 4-7 days after dispatch, but may take a little longer depending where you are.

Again items will be sent via Air Mail. Typical delivery times are 7-12 days after dispatch, but again it may be a little longer depending where you are.

All items will be packaged accordingly to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
Additional policies and FAQs

Do you offer tracking?
Currently, no due to the cost of UK postage. Large orders may be shipped via a courier with tracking.

Do you do bulk discount?
We happily offer a discount for wholesale/bulk orders over 20 items. Please contact us for further details.

Do cards come with an envelope?
All cards come with a matching envelope.

Can your cards be customised?
Yes, absolutely - just ask!

Is the card blank inside?
Yes, all cards are blank inside unless otherwise pictured.

Can you print a message inside for me?
Yes, not a problem.

Do you love trees?
Yes - both our white and brown card stock come from recycled materials, our postage envelopes are also made from recycled materials too!

How long will my wedding invite take to complete?
Design times are listed in each individual listing as a guide, you'll always be advised if it will take longer but each order is unique and the time required varies depending on your requirements.

Can I change colours?
Of course, just let us know your theme and will do our best to match it!

Can I change the wording?
Yes - it's your invitation.

Is there a printing option?
We currently cannot print your invitations ourselves but we can help find a online printer, adding print marks as required. We can also liase directly with printers on your behalf if you prefer.
