5 out of 5 starsItem was higher quality than pictured. Fabric power cord, high quality components, and it was packaged with care and shipped quickly. Seller even included an additional bulb. Excellent experience all around and hands down the best item I've purchased off of Etsy.

Short video about us: http://blog.boytecreative.com/chelsea-and-philip/
Living and breathing creativity.
There’s something about being able to explore that passion or interest that you share with somebody. It’s beautiful. It’s fulfilling. We were lucky enough to discover it and to live it out everyday. After years spent experimenting, taking things apart, scavenging junk yards and the woods, holding onto all of the little trinkets, + discovering that the old could have new life, we came up with Typewriter Boneyard. It is the place where we are able to share the result of that journey.
All of our light fixtures are handcrafted in our home studio, located in downtown San Diego. This is where it happens – everything. This is the place where we eat, design, sleep, create, entertain, make messes, get inspired, and practice our photography skills. We are creating each piece in the middle of where we live life. Sometimes it’s a little chaotic, but it makes it all feel complete.
We both have a love for things that are old and worn. I’m not sure if it’s the texture, or the story of it's past life, but we incorporate previously used items as much as we can. This is why we describe our style as old-world, industrial, or vintage inspired. It also means that we’d be happy to create a custom piece for you using that book your grandpa gave you or that piece of driftwood you found on your last camping trip.
We love being apart of our local art community, taking in the city around us, exploring different creative outlets, and challenging ourselves to think of fresh ideas. You can see more of what we're doing in a few different places:

A: Heck Yes! I have done many custom orders based on colors or certain bulbs someone likes. I have also had many customers send me a favorite book to turn into a lamp!
