Oliver’s Letters came about after a trying time in my life. A sweet baby named Oliver Joseph came in and out much too quickly. His passing prompted me to move to Austin, where I decided I needed a new hobby. I’ve always loved writing and DIY projects. My sisters Tori and Amber were interested as well, so we brainstormed and opened up an online shop (still a work in progress!) I never thought about selling my work, as it’s always been a fun hobby and helped relieve stress and anxiety. After months of doodling, I decided to use my work to fundraise for a mission trip to Uganda, which was a huge success. Since then, I have decided to start a small side business selling products I create in my spare time.
My business is part-time. In my free time, I love drinking coffee or tea and listening to music while doodling in my notebook. Disconnecting from reality allows me to put my thoughts onto paper. My goal for this side business is to save money to further my talent. I’d like to travel and attend workshops. I would also love to donate some of my profits to charities that are close to my heart. My current goal is to grow my business, increase consistency in my writing, and open doors to a career where I can sell my designs as a full-time business.
