I like things to be pretty and I like alot of color. But the colors NEED to match! In fact, looking back, the quest for aesthetically pleasing surroundings has always been the driving force behind my collecting AND creating .

I'll be glad to explain the nitty gritties. How to pay and how I ship and what to do if a problem pops up. Just in case, you discover that, UknowUneedAnother, too.

I became involved with vintage years ago as I lamented a truly ugly kitchen. Oh! It was so mismatched! Money was tight, and after finally opting for an eclectic farm-house look, my quest began.

Being on an almost non-existant budget I began to hit garage sales, thrift shops and any other place I could think of to find an assortment of kitchen oddities. Mismatched had become my theme. I prefer to call it 'Blended' now. I began to discover that my vintage treasures had a unique beauty and charm. I also discovered, very much to my delight, that my quirky finds were worth more than if I had purchased new. What a bonus!

I became hooked and began to listen to those little voices that would say, " Psst, UknowUneedAnother. " Another treasure would follow me home.

It's time to share, though. I hope you enjoy my assortment of vintage, antiques, and 'Whimsies of the Week'. Thanks again for stopping by.

I took my first floral design course over 20 years ago. There's a universal appeal and quite honestly, being able to achieve a finished project quickly, is a plus. I work with silks and strive to find stems that just might fool Mother Nature. I am in awe of what nature has designed. And with the silks the beauty of the piece can last for years without the debris of a dying vase of flowers or a possible allergic reaction.

I also enjoy crocheting, breeding tropical fish, gardening and cooking. I enjoy creating table scapes by turning the colors of my china and glassware into my paint. It's probably how I acquired so much.

It has become a tradition to craft a new line of Christmas ornaments yearly. So keep an eye out for them; I never know which medium will strike my fancy.

I understand that buying depression glass and other collectible vintage items over the internet requires a level of trust that isn't needed when you can actually handle an item that you've discovered at a show or in an antique shop.

I have over 20 years experience buying and selling within this area.

To the best of my knowledge, the merchandise in my shop is authentic. I research my items and strive to describe things accurately. I will point out any flaws that I notice and give you as much information as possible. If I have left anything out that is important to you, please get in touch with me with any concerns that you may have. If I have made a mistake and inadvertently misrepresented an item I will gladly refund your money.

I cannot guarantee that my finds have led a pet or smoke free existence. This isn't a problem with glassware and other non porous items. Plastics, wood and fabric can absorb odors, and dependent upon a given item, I might not be able to clean certain items, especially if there are original labels and packaging involved. I will have this noted in the listings, when applicable. PLEASE, feel free to send me a message, to double check, on any concerns, that are important to you.

  • Brenda, a la my cyber alter ego

Looking back, I might have imprinted on depression glass. My Mother always seemed so knowledgeable, in a natural, casual way. She said the sand quality of the Ohio River was why, there was so much glass production in the New Martinsville area.

    My Aunt And Mother

The picture showing above is a 1940's picture of my Mother and Aunt, taken in West Virginia, on the farm they grew up on. It was located in the heart of the glassware factories that lined the Ohio River.

  • West Virginia my roots

The Finally, Paved Road That Led To My Aunt's Farm

West Virginia was the home of many of the Depression and Elegant glassware companies and also home to the great marble factories of yesteryear. Quite a few of the older American Art Pottery companies were located close by too.

Thank you for visiting my shop!

I know how I like to be treated when I shop. It is my sincerest goal to treat you in exactly the same way!

If you have ANY questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate! ASK, ASK, ASK. I know it's a little bit harder to shop in a cyber store. I want you to be comfortable with your choice and I will help you in any way that I can.

I try to show any flaws in the pictures and will describe any that I find. Due to the fragility of glass, china, and pottery, I'm hoping to keep unnecessary returns to a minimal. If I have left out anything that is important to you, please get in touch with me.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I buy things online, too and "I'M" not willing to buy from "NO RETURNS ACCEPTED" shops.

Returns are accepted within 3 days of receiving merchandise. I need advance notification for record keeping purposes, and to know if any other procedural steps need to be applied.

All merchandise must be returned with any labels and tags intact and reach me in original condition.

If an item arrives damaged, please get in touch with me, so that any PayPal or insurance procedures can be followed properly, in order to protect us both. I need to know where the problem is, to be able to fix it. Since venues have feedback systems, please try to get in touch with me either through the Etsy system or my email before leaving feedback.

If I have added insurance for higher end items, it is important that you DO NOT throw out any of the packaging or the insurance form on the package. It is the Post office's policy that a customer has to present the items, packaging and claim forms. Post sale, if there is a problem, I need to send my half of the form to you. This is a safe guard procedure to protect lost packages and potential mail fraud from either the seller or the customer.

I will do everything within my power to help keep your purchases risk free.
I accept the following forms of payment:

Money Orders ( prefer U.S. Postal Service )
Personal Checks

I will ship once payment clears. Paypal e-checks and personal checks require a longer time frame, so shipping could take a little longer. Please notify me if using money order or check so I'll be aware of delays caused by mail. Please make checks out to the name showing with my address. Thank you.

Unless notified, I reserve the right to cancel a sale after 3 days for non payment and will need to file a report with Etsy in order to relist the item. I will notify you before any actions upon my part.
I try to recycle packing materials whenever possible to help keep shipping costs down. The shipping costs will also include the bubble wrap, packing peanuts, delivery confirmation and insurance, in cases where it may be necessary. I want your treasure to reach you in great shape!

I ship items within 72 hours of cleared payments. I will notify you if there are any delays on my end.

I will notify you when your order is shipped and give you the tracking number. If paid through PayPal, in order to protect both of us I can only ship to Paypal verified addresses. I do doublecheck for any differences in the Etsy and Paypal addresses and doublecheck to get verification before shipping if I notice discrepancies.

Whenever possible, I will gladly combine shipping. If ordering smaller items you could see a substantial savings because the Post Office offers flat rate services determined by the size of the box. Please let me know so I can make the necessary changes on my end to be able to send you an adjusted invoice. Due to the fragility of glass, china, and pottery, larger items may need their own boxes.

I will also do my best to keep shipping reasonable. I will choose the most economical type of USPS service depending upon your location and the size and weight of your packages. If you need expedited shipping please let me know prior to the sale so I can get price quotes to you.

Unfortunately, due to Paypal additional "proofs" of delivery that have been placed upon American sellers, I cannot afford the risks involved to conduct international sales. The shipping costs would be prohibitive to both my customer and to myself.

For Vintage:

Condition can be very subjective and what is acceptable for one person might not be, for another. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you might have. I try to sell items that I consider to be in good shape and will point out any flaws. I check my email daily and will do my best to get back to you within 24 hours. If you haven't heard from me by 48 hours, please try one more time to rule out computer foul ups.

You can send an Etsy convo or email me directly at:

Everything is cleaned prior to sale, but unfortunately, due to the very nature of vintage and antiques I cannot guarantee that they have led pet and smoke free lives. This isn't a problem with non porous items like glass, metals and pottery and china. Unfinished wood, paper goods and cloth items may not be able to be thouroughly cleaned. Occasionally, if linens are very delicate or have original labeling, I may opt to not wash it prior to sale. If unwashed, it will be noted in the item's decription.

Floral Pieces will be photographed in vignette settings to help give you an accurate idea of size and scale. There are size constraints with e-commerce pics. If needed, additional pictures can be e-mailed to you. Floral will be coming soon!
