I bought this as a gift for my sister. When it was delivered to my home, I dared not open it because I knew if I did, I wouldn't be able to part with it! It was packed incredibly well and I mailed it on down to Texas with other Christmas gifts. My sister loves it and I think she knows she'll have to hide it when I visit next. Great purchase, great service!
Traditional Art. Original Style.
I started my little shop to pay off those pesky student loans, and now they're gone, gone, GONE!!! [Insert maniacal laugh here.] Now, I'm just following that good ol' American dream.
I wanted to take the traditional art of stained glass away from the traditional subjects of stained glass. So, you are more likely to see film noir inspired dames and gangsters than butterflies and flowers.
And don't forget about my favorite pattern: The Plaid! I criss-cross layers of glass and leave gaps here and there for a mixture of light effects. The combinations are endless and if you have a favorite color (or least favorite) let me know. At last count I think that I had ten different greens on hand! Keep this in mind when planning a wedding gift. What a thoughtful gift to personalize with the colors of the wedding.
So... Then came the lamps.
I've been making stained glass votives for a while now and as much time as we all spend at a computer every day I started to think about USB cables. And LEDs. And not getting electrocuted while I learned all about this stuff.
Thankfully, I've done things right and have been delighted by the responses that my LED-USB lamps have gotten! I keep one plugged into my computer for a little ambiance. But, sometimes I add a USB-AC adapter and move the lamp to somewhere else in the house. I'm really excited for all of the possibilities that these lamps have.
Enjoy these non-traditional stained glass pieces. And if you have an idea that you would love to see in stained glass let me know. I'm sure that it'll be fun!
