Welcome to Ume Origami! I have been fiddling with origami and jewelry-making since I was in elementary school. I am so excited to share my work with you all, and please take your time browsing the store!

Returns and exchanges
I will offer a full refund of the purchase price, not including shipping, to any dissatisfied customers. If item is damaged during shipping, refund will be given upon receiving photograph of the damage. I really stand behind my product! If you feel a refund is necessary, please contact me first so we can try to work out a solution!
I only accept Paypal orders. If this is your first time ordering through Etsy, you do not need to register on Paypal to purchase but you will be required to use a credit/debit card. This is to protect both the buyer and the seller.
I will always do my best to get your order out 3-5 days after purchase. I always ship USPS First Class unless buyer specifies another preferred method. All of our items are packed with care to ensure your item arrives safely! Smaller items (earrings, charms) will come in a small favor tin, while larger flat items (pendants, modular earrings) will be placed in an organza or velvet jewelry bag. All items are wrapped in 100% recycled craft paper and raffia, and then placed in a bubble mailer between two sheets of cardboard. FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Buyer is responsible for any customs charges. I will not lie on customs forms since this is mail fraud.
Additional policies and FAQs
Many people ask why the dolls are so expensive if they are just folded paper. While you can certainly find folded origami dolls elsewhere, I use the highest quality papers available. The paper is thick and textured and each doll is folded with precision. There is a HUGE difference between dollar store paper and good quality washi and chiyogami. When you see the love and care that goes into each one, I assure you that you will not regret their quality.

Almost all chiyogami and washi papers are acid-free since they are made from purified water and natural plants and fibres. I use high-quality chiyogami from the U.S. and Japan, however the acid content on Japanese papers are often not marked. If you are concerned about the acid content of the papers, please convo me about the specific items you are considering. We use acid-free glues and cardstock in the construction of dolls.

Custom orders are subject to my time availability. As a student this often fluctuates, but I will discuss and agree upon a time-frame prior to the start of any custom project.

My Craft Corner members are eligible for a 10% discount on any item if they put "I am a MCC Member, username" in additional comments. PLEASE wait for revised invoice before paying (or convo beforehand to ask for a custom listing!)
