The most successful of hosts and hostesses know how to accessorize. Many of the pieces listed in Aleta's Kitschen are rotated in and out of my own collection, and trust me, I'm a lady who knows how to entertain. The assembly of coffee services, dish sets and kitchen kits is a hobby that, alas, my limited storage space cannot accommodate, and I aim to price items as close to inherent value as possible--I hope you'll agree!

At present, Aleta's Kitschen offers kitchen goods and decor manufactured between the late 40s through mid-80s. Era of origin is identified whenever possible, but please note that many items from the time period are not marked in any significant way and these are often educated guesses. I gracefully accept informed corrections.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Items are listed with as much information as I am able to provide. I aim to buy only items in pristine condition, but occasionally I'll miss a chip or small flaw until later. My photos do justice to the condition of these items, so please take a look before purchasing.

As the items themselves often cost barely more than shipping, refunds are not offered as a matter of practicality (i.e. the cost of you sending it back to me will probably cost you as much as the refund). Items are packaged as securely as possible; Aleta's Kitschen is not responsible for damaged or lost items. If this concerns you in any way, please opt for insurance on the item.

I do want you to be happy with your purchase, however, so if you have any beef upon receipt, please let me know as soon as possible. I'll happily discuss creative solutions to the unexpected problem!
Payment is due upon your commitment to purchase. I accept Paypal, which in turn accepts credit cards. If payment is not received via Paypal in one week, I will cancel your order and relist the item. Since it can take up to several business days to complete Paypal transaction, please do not purchase unless you already have the money to pay and are prepared to do so.

Please contact me if you run into any snags; I'm happy to answer any questions about the process if I'm able.
Items will be shipped within three business days of Paypal receipt. I generally use USPS and my shipping prices are a close approximation to how much shipping actually costs.

International orders are welcome, but shipping will be priced on a case-by-case basis. Contact me for a quote.

Some items are rather heavy and therefore expensive to ship, even though they are inexpensive items, but if you are a buyer in the Boston/Metrowest area, I'd be happy to arrange a pickup/drop-off and save you a few bucks. Please contact me to make such an arrangement.
