I'm looking foreward to knitting this with my handspun and perhaps some of yours that I have. I enlarged the chart so I could read it better and use my magnetic board to follow rows.

About

International Fiber Artist

My passion for fiber extends from raising the animals, shearing them to washing, carding, dyeing, felting, spinning, weaving, knitting and crocheting their fibers into works of art from patterns that I create. It's a process that expands over days, weeks, months and years. A true labor of love.

Everyday is a new adventure as I experiment with color, textures and designs. Some days fly and the light is going down and the temps have dropped and I have to remind myself to eat.

I am an artist. My animals need feed, medicines, fencing, etc. so this necessitates my selling yarns and such so I can maintain my herd and flock.

My husband supports my art venture and helps with chores, shearing, moving animals around pastures and tends the animals when I go to art shows. Yes, he has even delivered ewes.

It is a feat to run a farm. It can be a financial hardship when something goes wrong. It takes a lot of time even when your body hurts, there is snow and ice on the ground and you just want to curl up. Then, I look out at my herd and know that they rely on us to care for them.

Yarns are priced accordingly but do not cover all of the expenses or effort.

Thank you for supporting our farm and my artweaving passion.

Fiber player for years and an official fiber artist addict. I experiment and do not measure unless it is a skein of yarn for sale. I'm an artist full of creative ideas so so I'm always working on a new design; not recreating what I've done.

Shop policies

Last updated on February 4, 2011
I am a fiber artist and I support my animals through my sales. I love what I do. I am also practical, so my prices are geared for the local business, which I have been told on numerous occasions are too low. I do not mark up my yarns from my actual store prices to cover any etsy fees, so I cannot afford to discount my yarns. I prefer to spin what I want, but I will accept orders that I feel are in line with my creativity.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
If the customer cancels a sale, after it has already been shipped, he/she will be responsible for its return and the shipping fee will not be returned. A refund will not be issued until I am once again in possession of the item sold.
Shipping
Sales will go out the same business day or the next business morning.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will accept and refund the value of yarns that are returned in their original packaging. Weight will be verified on return to ensure that it has not been used. I cannot accept the return of finish goods like shawls, because they are unique and one of a kind. My finished goods have not been worn and their value decreases as soon as they are used.
