About

UNO MAS UNO, 1+1 ~ Our LOVE continues in New York, Buenos Aires, and in Tokyo ~

Welcome to UNO MAS UNO, our custom illustration shop on Etsy!

My name is Nina and I'm from Tokyo.
Ever since I was a kid, I've been dreaming about creating beautiful things to please people.

The name of the shop has a lil' bit of history. My last name is UNO, meaning ONE in spanish,
and since we are two people running this shop, we decided to name it UNO MAS UNO. (ONE PLUS ONE).

My partner's name is Euge and he is from Buenos Aires.
I met him in New York in 2007 while studying English.
The day we started dating, I gave him a portrait and he was very delighted.
Ever since, he's been my no.1 fan and my right hand.

In 2009, we moved to Argentina in search of new adventures, where UNO MAS UNO was born.
It was then a Japanese food caterer. I cooked delicious Japanese lunch box in beautiful Buenos Aires. Soon, my hand drawn shop flyer caught the sight of a journalist and UNO MAS UNO was featured in a newspaper.
That same year, we tied the knot.

After 2 successful years including an article in one of Argentina's most popular newspaper
(http://www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/suplementos/radar/18-6177-2010-05-16.html)
and another in BRANDO MAGAZINE (http://www.conexionbrando.com/1274034 ),
we felt that it was time for a change.

In 2011, we moved to my city, Tokyo.
I've struggled to find a way to accomplish what I'd really love to do, but today, I have my own Etsy shop.
Euge's been always here to support and encourage me.
Without my PLUS ONE, I couldn't have done any of this, UNO MAS UNO is the fruit of our love.
