Some call it steampunk....
I love mechanical things, soft things and shiny things. I have recently began combining all three in my jewelry. I enjoy taking apart old broken watches and clocks and whatever else I can get my hands on. I like to incorporate keys, vintage trinkets , tools, dead bugs, rocks, bones, fossils, etc.
I have sold items to a shop in San Francisco Ca, Cieba, and one in Oakland Ca, Silver Lining. I was traveling in California collecting more supplies and trinkets. I live in Washington State, in the great northwest. I prefer to sell directly to my customer as it allows my to keep the cost of my product down. I have been showing my work at street fairs and festivals with success. Now I am giving etsy a shot. I love shopping on here, and trading my work with other artists.
Thanks for looking!
P.S.Most item are one of a kind but I do make duplicates of some things. I also do custom pieces if you have watches, trinkets, or other items you want made into a fabulous piece. Someone recently requested that i take apart her great grandmothers watch which doesn't work, and include her sons first curl, a diamond from her mothers ring, and a key that was to her toy chest when she was a child. So amazing, and full of sentiment.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator
I have been making jewelry for about 10 years. Over time I have gone through several shifts in the style of my art and the materials I like to use. Currently, I am passionate about upcycling things that someone thought was trash.
I enjoy designing custom pieces and repairing vintage as well as new jewelry. The things I have for sale here are from my personal treasure hunting. I have so much fun finding all these shiny things and sharing them with you. Please visit Upcycled Shiny Things on Facebook to see photos and make custom orders.
