Great alternative to disposable cotton pads! A few pieces of fabric were left on my face the first time I used them, but once I washed them that went away. I love that there are two sides, and they work really well. I don’t wear makeup so I cannot comment on that, but I use them for toner and they’re great. Easy to wash, I just throw them in with my normal laundry. I’ll never go back to disposable pads and will be buying these as gifts for my friends.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase. The rounds were larger than I expected, and some have cute patterns.
My only complaint is that the fabric wasn’t washed prior to sewing, so when I used them, the dark decorative fabric bled onto the white terry cloth side.

My day dream became my day reality!

My shop started as a day dream and with the encouragement of friends and family, it has become my rest of the time job! I always wondered what happened to the ugly sweaters at the thrift stores and where they ended up. So I started to bring home the crazy patterned Grandpa knits and they became so much more... Upcycled Sweater Blankets to be exact! This way I knew these sweaters would be loved, used and cherished. From there my upcycling has grown to include dresses and skirts from men's dress shirts, wine bottle bags from jeans, and the list goes on! Studying to become an environmental engineer and having a passion for waste management tie in very closely to making my dream a reality. By repurposing these items, I am able to keep them from entering the waste stream.

All products are made by me, Ann Gibson, in my pet-free, smoke-free sewing studio just outside St.Marys, ON.

100% waste-free production - The smaller products, reusable facial round and nursing pads, are made from the scraps left over from the clothing. Once the scraps are too small to sew with, they are used to stuff dog and cat beds which are donated to the Stratford SPCA.

Welcome to Upcycle Lifestyle! We focus on sustainably produced reusable alternatives to single-use products and grow-with-me children's clothing. Our production is 100% waste free and items are made from new and upcycled fabrics.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Custom or personalized orders
Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Digital downloads
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Items on sale

Returns and exchange details

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund, you just pay the return shipping. The only item that cannot be returned is reusable facial rounds, due to hygiene reasons. If your item is damaged during shipping please message me and I will do my best to correct the issue.

All items will be carefully wrapped and packaged by me and then sent by Canada Post within the time frame indicated on the listing, once payment is received (some exceptions apply with custom orders). Shipping as listed does not include tracking. Tracking can be added for exact shipping cost by contacting me to make this arrangement. If you would like to pick up your items outside of St.Marys ON, use the coupon code LOCAL and contact me to make arrangements.

Please ensure your full mailing address is provided and that the information is current. We will not be responsible for any delivery errors due to incorrect addresses. If a package is returned to sender due to an incorrect address, you will be required to pay any fees incurred and additional postage to get the package to your correct address.

Please note that "Processing Times" listed for our products indicate the amount of time required to make your item before shipping, this is not the shipping time. Each order is made mindfully and sustainably as it comes in to prevent overstock and waste.
