Announcement   These days, I am primarily a precision gemcutter. Unless otherwise noted, I have personally sourced and cut every stone in my shop. I probably have several finished stones that I haven't listed yet, too. Oops ;)

I have a fairly extensive stock of uncut stones and have an excellent network of rough sources, so if you have something in particular in mind, drop me a note!

I suppose I should mention that I have a certification from the US Faceters Guild. There, I just did.

Almost all of my work on Etsy has been custom, via the former Alchemy feature. Click this handy dandy link to see some of my past work: http://www.etsy.com/shop_sold.php?user_id=6908835.

Unless otherwise requested (i.e., someone wants me to make a silver septum tusk out of their dad's class ring), I use ARGENTIUM® Sterling Silver whenever possible. It's .930 sterling silver with more Germanium in the mix, which makes it extremely tarnish-resistant.

Also, I recycle all scrap I generate and use it in my casting work. Feel free to send in your old precious metal with your request if you want me to incorporate it into my work. I'll also buy your old silver & gold outright if you just want to see it upcycled for the world to enjoy. I can also refine and realloy your gold, if you want to change its color (for example, you want your 18K white gold transformed into 14K rose gold)!

I'm a proud member of both the Patuxent Lapidary Guild (http://www.patuxentlapidary.org) and Metalsmiths in Action (http://metalsmithsinaction.50webs.com/).

---------------------

I can make custom wire components (ear wires, jump rings, chainmaille rings, headpins) for you--just send me a convo or a custom request! Choose from the following metals:

Aluminum (standard, bright, etched, anodized)
Brass
Bronze
Copper (standard, enameled)
Gold (10KY, 14KY, 14KW, 14KPink, 18KY, 22KY, 24KY)
Gold Filled
Nickel Silver
Niobium (standard, anodized)
Platinum
Silver (.999 Fine, sterling, ARGENTIUM®)
Steel (galvanized, inconel, mild, stainless)
Titanium (pure, Ti-Al6-V4, anodized)

Payment
My general sales terms are "payment due upon completion", although I generally like to require half up front for any gold work. If your order is particularly large, I may ask for payment after you approve the prototype.
Shipping
I generally use US Postal Service, and tend to charge $5 for shipping so I can send things out Priority if I'm pushing it on the deadline. If I get it done early, I may send it First Class and pocket the $2 as a reward for being on top of my game ;)

I have no problem with international shipping, and if you want me to insure your shipment, just ask!
Refunds and Exchanges
If for some reason you don't like what you received, by all means contact me! We'll work something out, whether it be an exchange, refund, etc. Again, since most of my work is through Alchemy, I will hopefully have confirmed the design through photos, and once you approve a prototype, I don't expect too many issues to arise. Again, just contact me and we'll work something out--I don't want any unhappy customers!
Additional policies and FAQs
Oh--I also have a shop on Zibbet at http://www.zibbet.com/upcyclist. Stop on by sometime!
