Having my own fabric shop is a lifetime dream come true!
I have been sewing all of my life. I was born in Eritrea, and have lived in so many wonderful places like Kodiak, Alaska and Venice Beach. I currently live in Sonoma County, CA., with my husband of 33 years, and our 25 year old daughter.
I first began traveling to India in 2002, and when I got ahold of my very first Indian print, not purchased in the USA, it was the beginning of my dream come true. For the past 20 years, I have gone to India each December, and my fabric collection has grown so much that I began selling it on Etsy in March of 2014.
I hope you will enjoy my fabrics, and as always, in true Indian style, we are always wheeling and dealing around here, so do not hesitate to message me for a special price when you want to order more than a couple of yards.
And finally, let me talk to you about my shipping policies....I will ALWAYS refund any shipping overages after the item has been sent.
Due the different weights of fabrics and the wide range of shipping areas, it is quite difficult for me to be accurate with shipping fees. Rest assured, you will get any extra paid back, and thanks for understanding.

I have been sewing since I was 6 years old, and now, it is my dream to have my own fabric shop. Most of my fabrics come from one family in South India. They do not use child labor, and they are dear friends of mine. I hope you will like my shop.

I love India, I love cotton, I love the family in India that makes my fabric for me. They are a wonderful family of two sons and a daughter, mom, dad and grandparents all in one home. I have watched the children grow into young adults over the past 13 years, and I am so happy to have made a difference in the quality of their lives with this fabric arrangement.
